RandySF's JournalMore Duggar bombshells are coming: “We have some significant things coming out”
The editorial director of InTouch says theres a whole lot more to say about the Duggars.
David Perel, who runs the magazine which broke the story about Josh Duggars sexual molestation of several sisters, told the Washington Post that they are not done yet.
Do I have more information on the Duggars in general? Perel said to the Post. Yes, Id say we have some significant things coming out.
The Post also reconstructed where the Duggar story originated from and suggested a woman named Tandra Barnfield apparently was a helpful guide.

Had Josh Duggar been prosecuted, Duggars would have lost the right to home school.
In the state of Arkansas, where the Duggars reside, it is illegal to homeschool if there is a sex offender present in the home. Yes, it turns out Arkansas has at least one very sensible home schooling law. The Act in question is No. 1787 of 2001 passed one year before the reported start of Josh Duggars crimes.
It is alleged that Josh began molesting girls in 2002. The crimes were not investigated until more than three years later, after the Arkansas statute of limitations for his offences had expired. Josh continued to live in the home until 2008.
According to the police report, in 2002 a minor told Jim Bob Duggar that Josh had been fondling her while she was sleeping. Josh admitted to this in July 2002. Despite this, Jim Bob did not go to the police. It seems likely that a family as active in homeschool advocacy as the Duggars would be aware of the law in their home state.
By covering up Joshs actions, it was possible for the Duggars to continue home schooling their children with a known sexual predator in the home.

Sen. Graham: If I’m President, There Will Be A ‘Rotating First Lady’
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said in an interview published Tuesday that because hes unmarried, the White House would have a rotating first lady if he were elected President.
Grahams comments were made during an interview with the Daily Mail Online in which the 59-year-old discussed his 2016 presidential candidacy, which hed announced on June 1.
Well, Ive got a sister. She could play that role if necessary, Graham said. Ive got a lot of friends. Well have a rotating first lady.
Im actually a fun guy. I'm a lot of fun to hang around with. Just ask people who know me, Graham said. I think I've got a pretty good reputation of bein' easygoing.
If elected, Graham would be the first bachelor President since Woodrow Wilson and would be only the third U.S. President to be sworn into office unmarried. James Buchanan and Grover Cleveland are the two other Presidents who hold this distinction, although Buchanan was the only President to have remained a bachelor.

Jeb Bush forced single mothers publish sexual histories in Florida newspapers.
Public shaming would be an effective way to regulate the irresponsible behavior of unwed mothers, misbehaving teenagers and welfare recipients, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) argued in his 1995 book Profiles in Character.
In a chapter called "The Restoration of Shame, the likely 2016 presidential candidate made the case that restoring the art of public humiliation could help prevent pregnancies out of wedlock.
One of the reasons more young women are giving birth out of wedlock and more young men are walking away from their paternal obligations is that there is no longer a stigma attached to this behavior, no reason to feel shame. Many of these young women and young men look around and see their friends engaged in the same irresponsible conduct. Their parents and neighbors have become ineffective at attaching some sense of ridicule to this behavior. There was a time when neighbors and communities would frown on out of wedlock births and when public condemnation was enough of a stimulus for one to be careful.
Bush points to Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1850 novel The Scarlet Letter, in which the main character is forced to wear a large red "A" for "adulterer" on her clothes to punish her for having an extramarital affair that produced a child, as an early model for his worldview. "Infamous shotgun weddings and Nathaniel Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter are reminders that public condemnation of irresponsible sexual behavior has strong historical roots, Bush wrote.
As governor of Florida in 2001, Bush had the opportunity to test his theory on public shaming. He declined to veto a very controversial bill that required single mothers who did not know the identity of the father to publish their sexual histories in a newspaper before they could legally put their babies up for adoption. He later signed a repeal of the so-called "Scarlet Letter" law in 2003 after it was successfully challenged in court.

Sarah Palin goes on Fox to denounce interview of Duggar girls — conducted on Fox
Appearing on Fox New with Sean Hannity, former half-term Alaskan governor Sarah Palin criticized the media for its coverage of the Duggar family scandal, singling out the interview with two Duggar daughters while failing to mention that it was conducted by Megyn Kelly on Fox.
Although the Duggars agreed to give exclusive interviews with Kelly spread out over two nights on her Kelly Files Palin attacked her favorite target, the mainstream media, saying the girls were being revictimized but without mentioning they appeared on Fox.
What followed was Palin going off on one of her stream-of-consciousness rants regarding reality shows, the media, liberal bias, and Lena Dunham.
After Hannity shared a clip from Megyn Kellys interview with Jill and Jess Duggar, pointing out that they are part of a reality show family much like hers, Palin was off again.
They do have a right to privacy. Yeah, well the difference with our family too, like the Duggars, is that people actually make their living by digging and poking and priding, I mean prodding, trying to find something on conservative families to try to destroy them and their reputations, but thats another story. Uh, yeah, these girls are being re-victimized, for shame on the media for, under the guise of Hey, gotta let them have their say anyway. Lets interview them and put them there, back into the fire, and let them explain. Theyre innocent! And these girls, yeah, so humiliated. The release of these confidential records is, its tragic, its illegal, its unethical. Why isnt the dialogue going right now towards Hey, lets get that law enforcement official, he or her, who released this file. It was confidential. Who. who has been a victim, would ever want to speak out and still be able to trust law enforcement. That what theyre being told, with counselors and amongst themselves, that their files are going to be held confidential and then theyre exploited. Why isnt the press going after that police chief, she or he or whomever it was, and you know it was for political reasons, Sean.

Idaho Republicans: Public schools should use the Bible as a science and law textbook
Republicans in Idaho are pushing a bill to make the Bible a reference book in public school classes teaching science and law, Patheos reports.
Members of the states Republican party have published a set of proposed resolutions following a central committee meeting this past weekend among Idaho GOP higher-ups. The policy initiatives the states conservative leadership dreamed up include A Resolution Supporting Bible Use in Idaho Public Schools.

Man arrested for wearing Star Wars Stormtrooper costume outside school
LYNN Salem, not Lynn, is typically the place where people walk around in costumes and sometimes get into trouble.
But on Wednesday afternoon, a Lynn elementary school was briefly locked down after the principal called 911 to report a man with a gun walking around outside the school.
The man, identified by police as George Cross, 40, of Lynn, was dressed in a white plastic "Star Wars" stormtrooper costume, and the gun was not real. But Lynn Police spokesman Lt. Rick Donnelly said that "the way things are today, you can't have that."
The call came from the principal of the Brickett Elementary School on Lewis Street (Route 1A) at around 1:30 p.m., as classes were about to wind up for the day, said Donnelly.
Donnelly said the principal thought the gun might be plastic, but since she wasn't certain, she erred on the side of caution.
Cross was arrested on charges of disturbing a school and loitering within 1,000 feet of a school.

The Duggar PR Crisis Is Being Handled by Huckabee's Political Adviser
When InTouch Weekly first broke the news that Josh Duggar had molested his underage sisters as a teenager, Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and 2016 presidential candidate, was one of the first to very publicly offer his support to the Duggar family. Janet and I want to affirm our support for the Duggar family, wrote the former Fox News host on his Facebook page, saying that even if an action was inexcusable that didnt mean it was unforgivable.
It turns out the politician's ties to the Duggars may run deeper than just a show of support. According to CNN Moneys Brian Stelter, the Duggar familys public image crisis is being managed by Chad Gallagher, Huckabees longtime political adviser. Gallagher is the founder and principal of Legacy Consulting in Arkansas, and also oversees Huckabees political action committee, HUCKPAC, which made the news earlier this year for awarding nearly $400,000 to Huckabees own family.
The connection between Huckabee and the Duggars, both Christian conservative icons, seems to run deep, as the Duggars rushed to endorse Huckabee when he announced his 2016 bid for president, dropping their support for Rick Santorum.
However, on June 4, reports emerged that the Duggars vociferous statements of support had been scrubbed clean from the I Like Mike sidebar of Huckabees campaign website, leading to speculation the latters camp was trying to distance him from the molestation scandal.

Joni Ernst Keeps VP Door Open
When asked about the possibility of being considered a candidate for vice president, Ernst laughed, but didnt reject the notion outright.
Well, I think that's -- that's nice, she said. Did my mother pay you to say that?
With the vice presidential selection process a ways off, candidates wanting to win the White House are concentrating on the early voting states, including Iowa, the first electoral test for those seeking the presidency. Ernst cited President Ronald Reagan when asked what it will take to win the critical Iowa Caucuses.
We have to have somebody that will express conservative views of course and Im looking for somebody that is very Reaganesque, she said. "Someone that can reach all aspects of our voting population here in America."
She also defended the relevance of the seemingly beleaguered Iowa Straw Poll, which was won last election cycle by former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and is being skipped this year by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
