Obama: Women 'pretty indisputably' better leaders than men
Former President Obama said at a recent event that he believes women are indisputably better leaders than men and confidently predicted that people would see a global improvement if every nation was led by a woman.
According to the BBC, he made the remarks at a leadership event in Singapore during his and former first lady Michelle Obamas visit to the region last week.
At the event, the former president reportedly said: "Now women, I just want you to know; you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you're better than us [men].
"I'm absolutely confident that for two years if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything... living standards and outcomes, he continued.

Ivanka Trump Interviewed by Her Own Spokeswoman in Doha While More Powerful Leaders Face Journalists
Ivanka Trump fielded a softball interview from a State Department spokeswoman at the high-powered Doha Forum Saturday, skirting the tough interviews more powerful officials at the conference faced.
U.S. State Department spokesperson and former Fox News contributor Morgan Ortagus posed open-ended and positive prompts to the presidents daughter like, "You were able to put women's prosperity into the national security strategy. That was so important to me that you did that and Id love for you to explain that, according to BuzzFeed News.
Trump spoke about her work on womens economic empowerment, a project dubbed Womens Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, which Ortagus is also a part of, according to BuzzFeed. When asked by The Daily Beast if Trump said anything of interest, BuzzFeed News editor-in-chief Ben Smith, who was in the audience for the interview, said, Basically no.
The forum brings together policymakers from across the world in the Qatari capital, and they usually sit for hard-hitting interviews. Higher-ranking officials than Ivanka Trump faced down journalists. Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin answered questions from a CNBC journalist about sanctions on Iran, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) went back and forth with a CNN anchor about impeachment. A former lead anchor of Al Jazeera interviewed Rwanda President Paul Kagame. The foreign minister of Turkey was asked about his governments alleged war crimes in Syria, according to BuzzFeed.

The US House of Representatives will vote on the impeachment as soon as Wednesday after the House Judiciary Committee approved two articles of impeachment against Trump last week.
The articles one on Trump's alleged abuse of power and the other on obstruction of Congress during the impeachment inquiry were both approved in separate votes by a 23-17 margin with Democrats for and Republicans against.

A new low for Trump
https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1206335971974959107?s=21IRS: Sorry, but It's Just Easier and Cheaper to Audit the Poor
The IRS audits the working poor at about the same rate as the wealthiest 1%. Now, in response to questions from a U.S. senator, the IRS has acknowledged thats true but professes it cant change anything unless it is given more money.
ProPublica reported the disproportionate audit focus on lower-income families in April. Lawmakers confronted IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig about the emphasis, citing our stories, and Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., asked Rettig for a plan to fix the imbalance. Rettig readily agreed.
ast month, Rettig replied with a report, but it said the IRS has no plan and wont have one until Congress agrees to restore the funding it slashed from the agency over the past nine years something lawmakers have shown little inclination to do.
On the one hand, the IRS said, auditing poor taxpayers is a lot easier: The agency uses relatively low-level employees to audit returns for low-income taxpayers who claim the earned income tax credit. The audits of which there were about 380,000 last year, accounting for 39% of the total the IRS conducted are done by mail and dont take too much staff time, either. They are the most efficient use of available IRS examination resources, Rettigs report says.
