"Oh, my Grace, I got no hiding place."

This line is speaking to me and for me as of late.

It’s amazing how songs can do that for us, isn’t it?

"Oh, my Grace, I got no hiding place."

First use ever of the Moog synthesizer in this song.

I remember the first time I heard this song as a child. Want to say I was 7 but might have been 8. Blew my mind, and I loved the song from the start.

From the incomparable Mr. Paul Simon:

I will probably make some small changes to it after I look at it awhile.

I'm so sorry for all you have been through and are going through.

I wish I could be there and be your friend for real and help in whatever way I could.

Sending hugs to you and wishes for a kinder, easier path soon.

Did this pastel painting over the last few days. Trying to learn how to do pet portraits.

People seem to like getting portraits of their pets so it seems like something useful for me to do.

Thank you to anyone who looks, comments. Always grateful for constructive criticism, always hoping to learn and improve,

Thank you ❤️😍☮️

Just finished a pastel portrait today, 11x14 on luxarchival paper, might make some changes,

I haven’t done many portraits and I’m finding them extremely challenging. I hope the lady I did this for will like it. It’s her son and granddaughter. She lost her son so I am doing this as a small act of kindness and sympathy.

Thank you anyone who looks, very grateful for feedback and advice, portraits make me very nervous.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wrote a bad sonnet about female Ukranian soldiers

Wanted to write a good one but it was beyond me.

But photos of those soldiers moved this former female Army Officer.

With flowers woven into hair bright gold

A girl with rifle held at ready now

Oh Russia, she lies waiting, spirit bold

And wears upon shoulders, a soldier’s vow.

She will not be defeated nor allayed

Her homeland is her heart, she stands with pride

Your leader, Russia, has your soul betrayed

And death will take your soldiers like the tide.

The bombs they throw from cars against your tanks

Give extra light to her resolute eyes,

Spirit a river overflowing banks

And you oh Russia march forward on lies.

She fights for her children and yes for her home

Russian sunflowers will bloom in the loam.
