This song comes up in my mind lately. Seems to speak to these times, for me.

Maybe Iím just....a little peculiar.

Did this pastel painting today.

8x10 on UArt 600 grit paper.

Tried to do this one standing up. Itís hard for me to stand for long because of MS but I think it makes for a better result.

Oil paints...

Ultramarine blue
Cobalt blue
Phthalo blue
Permanent rose
Cad red med
Cad yellow light
Raw sienna
Burnt umber
Burnt sienna
Titanium white

Well, I struggled with this, I think I'm done,

I canít seem to do better than this. I hope my niece will like it anyway. ďBe Strong For HerĒ 8x8 oil on panel

Yes. I had the same feeling back then too.

After the idealism of my childhood in the late 60s and early 70s, I saw a long slide into the near dystopia I fear is coming soon.

Just the first layer of "Be Strong For Her"

A painting I started of my grandniece.

Looks awful right now but itís just the first layer.

I hope there will be lots of art created to help us stay strong and continue the fight.

Me too.

Iím so sorry. But we have to keep fighting for the future. We will not give up.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg dead at 87

Source: CNN

CNN)Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on Friday due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer, the court announced. She was 87.

Ginsburg was appointed in 1993 by President Bill Clinton and in recent years served as the most senior member of the court's liberal wing, consistently delivering progressive votes on the most divisive social issues of the day, including abortion rights, same-sex marriage, voting rights, immigration, health care and affirmative action.

Saw someone with a mask pulled down to chin at the docs office

Pointed her out to a nurses aide, and the aide turned and walked away without a word.

When the aide came back a couple minutes later, she deliberately pulled her mask down while she was taking my vitals. I didnít say a word to her. She pulled the mask back up properly before the doc came in.

I told the doc, who had me talk to the practice manager.

These anti mask assholes really make me angry. Iím sure nothing will happen to the aide.

I hate that a simple measure to save lives has become such a political thing.

Iím still so angry I am shaking.

I think I'm pretty much finished with this oil painting portrait now

I hope so much she will like the painting. I still have so much to learn about oil painting and art in general, itís always a struggle.
