Can you remember a time?

Think back to a time, when weeks, months went by and you never heard a peep about some WH scandal, or some stupid hateful comment by a president. A time, when you knew that you could just focus on your own little world and projects, and not have to hear vile garbage from the WH.

It's been such a long time ago ... We need to get back to that.

God I love classical music

I feel my mind getting cleansed of all Trump things dirty and vile. Turn the damn TV off and let the music of the masters fill me with beauty and peace. I listen to WRR-FM - Dallas, all classical, no ads. One of the oldest radio licenses in the country. Right now, Beethoven's Eroica is playing. This afternoon, I got to hear Copeland's Rodeo ballet, Faure, Vivaldi, Scarlotti, Dvorak. And since it's free, the price is right.

Copeland's Rodeo was particularly welcome today.

I am so tired of Trump theater

Trump's continuous drama, over and over and over. Yet always the same plot, same characters, same same same same.

Tired of the talking heads endlessly talking about him. Tired of him showing up in my FB news feed. Tired of his tweets. Tired of his lies. Tired of his stupidity. Tired of his vulgarity, his cruelty, criminality. Trump has become just another TV and movie genre that I instantly dislike and never watch, because it is so very tiresome and predictable.

The very best thing that I can say, is that as an extremely unpleasant experience that comes before me, Trump challenges me to maintain a calm and peaceful mind, rather than allowing anger to kidnap me and drag me out the door.

Turn all-Trump off, and turn on some classical music to clean the atmosphere and lift my spirits.

Marianne Williamson for POTUS

I had never heard of this woman before this week, but her candidacy has intrigued me. She is calling for something that I have been eager to hear for a long time -- a spiritual and moral regeneration in our country. When I went to her web site, I found that she advocated many Dem liberal ideals about medical access, education, jobs, peace, retirement with dignity, climate change, etc. But what truly caught mt attention, was her advocacy about ethical morality. It wasn't the standard hypocritical religious bullshit. But rather, it mirrored my own feelings about creating a compassionate and enlightened society.

Her chances of getting the Dem nomination are pretty slim. But even so, I hope that she can infuse the debate about the need for ethical morality into our body politic. We simply must prevent our gov from becoming a vehicle for corruption and crony capitalism. We must insist that our political leaders have a moral compass that it well-aligned.

I ask that all my DU friends to visit her web site and give it a look. https://www.marianne2020.com/

I turned off the SOTU

Nothing but empty platitudes and hypocritical posturing. I switched channels to watch a movie about Mary Shelley. It galled me to see all those dreadful nasty old fat white power-mongers crowd to shake his hand.

He's a fucking traitor

My SOTU prediction

During his SOTU speech, either Trump will pull the trigger on declaring an emergency, OR he will do it during Stacey Abrams rebuttal speech.

I accept Gov Notham's apology

can we not destroy him like we did Al Franken please? I accept Notham's apology. It was timely, sincere, and did not equivocate the seriousness of racism. He has pledged to win back our trust and to work for the benefit of all his constituents. I believe him.

How long before they invoke the 25th amendment?

That debacle yesterday, where the Intel heads testified about the state of global threats to US security, and Trump's subsequent dismissal and personal insults to them was a watershed moment. It certainly scared me! God only knows what they told the committee in a closed session. And now Schmer's letter is a dire warning and a threat to "Do something, or else!"

Surely "25th amendment" is being secretly mentioned and signaled among Republicans. Only that the vast majority of Trump's cabinet are criminal enablers of him. What do you think?

Fucking Trump is dangerous

Trump knows that our Intel know what's happening, and that what they say is true

He just doesn't like what he hears. It Intel doesn't paint him as a great world leader, victorious over our enemies and winning them over with his charm and smarts. What's delusional is not the content of what he believes, but that he thinks he can keep this charade up, and his base will believe it and keep loving him. He doesn't care that we don't buy his bullshit. He just keeps going down the same delusional road of refusing to see how others see him. What is that? Malignant narcissist, I guess.

Makes me wonder whom he uses now to funnel our intel to our enemies in exchange for whatever benefits he can glean for himself. And how he funnels this into to them. We know that he has secret conversations with Putin. Now that Manafort and Cohen have been neutralized, who is his conduit?

Fucking traitor!

January 30, 2019

It's not that Trump doesn't believe our Intelligence peofessionals,

but that he doesn't LIKE what he hears. He has lied about ISIS being defeated in Syria to make himself look good, and probably also to help Russia towards its goal of a Mediterranean port in northern Syria. He has lied about North Korean nuclear capabilities to make himself look good. And of course he has lied his ass off about the need to build a wall.

Trump is a fucking traitor.
