The cover-up is always worse than the original crime
As bad as Trump's Treason Summit was, his cover-up today did *NOT* make it any better. Made it worse, because it was such obvious *not* face-saving bullshit. There's supposed to a rule about when in a hole, stop digging. The only thing that Traitor Trump accomplished today is to open the door to having even more ridicule dumped on his head. Late night comedians will have a field day with this tonight.
I want to know specifically who in the WH had the brilliant idea to claim that Traitor Trump left out a "not" in his original treasonous statement. That stupidity deserves at least a footnote in the history of the Trump era.
Summit low expectations
Means Trump doesn't have to be held accountable for achieving anything objectively measureable, such as Russia getting out of Ukraine or Syria, stop meddling in our politics, stop murdering journalists and political opponents. Low expectations means he can tell himself and us a bunch a lies about what a great successful job he did. He's a lazy fucking coward.
A Thought Experient - How would you feel if you were Trump today?
If 100,000 people marched in the streets of London, carrying vulgar signs that ridiculed you? If all the British newspapers decried your visit to their country with the most harsh and critical front page stories? If social media ridiculed your every move and gesture? If TV programs called you a liar with videos of you to back it up? How would you feel? Wouldn't you feel completely humiliated, ashamed and mortified at all the ridicule and condemnation aimed at you? We're not talking about a few people criticizing you, but hundreds of thousands, millions even. A whole nation. Wouldn't you want to find a very deep hole to hide in? I sure would.
And I haven't even gotten to the Russian indictments yesterday.
But Trump just goes forward, continuing into the future with the same old behavior displayed as in the past. If you think for a moment how you would feel were you in his shoes today, you can understand how completely deluded he is not to be affected by it. Actually I think he is affected by it, but not in the way we would be affected - with an almost suicidal shame. His reaction is anger and resentment that explodes into hatred of everyone who disrespects him. It never occurs to him to earn our respect with his deeds and behavior. Instead he lashes his vengence out on vulnerable immigrants and their children. God only knows what horrors and chaos he will create when he gets back to the US.
MSNBC wonders why Trump trashes May in the morning and then
speaks and plays nice to her at his joint conference with her in the afternoon. Well we know, don't we? He's a colossal coward. Doesn't have the moxie to disparage someone to their face. Unless of course, Kelly took him to the woodshed and told him to at least try and act presidential for the joint press conference.
Can't Theresa May just appoint some new ministers
to replace the ones who resigned? How does that work in the UK? Does parliament need to approve her misiterial picks?

Help me remember
At trump's inauguration speech, did he thank Obama for his service? I seem to remember that he did not, but I'm not sure. This morning, I was wondering if the 2020 election elects a Dem POTUS, if he/she should thank Trump for his service just to show how a decent president behaves with grace. Even tho we all know that the Trump presidency has been detrimental to our country.
