Political Phone Call I Received The Other Night

It was a survey sponsored by Fox News concerning the upcoming Georgia Republican (of course) U.S. House of Representatives primary.

First question: "Do you plan to vote in the upcoming Georgia Republican U.S. House of Representatives primary? Press 1 for yes. Press 2 for no." Of course, I pressed 2. That, I was thinking, would be--and should have been--the end of it.




Next question: "if the primary were held today, for which of the four Republican candidates for U.S. House of Representatives would you vote? Press 1 for Candidate A. Press 2 for Candidate B. Press 3 for Candidate C. Press 4 for Candidate D (I don't remember any names)." I pressed 5 and the question repeated. I pressed 5 again and the result was a fast busy signal.
