I'm one of many hurt by the shutdown

My wife and I are in the process of opening a business. We have an SBA loan approved and were scheduled to close on December 27. We were required to have our downpayment in the bank at the time, a six figure amount, every penny we could scrape up. That money has to be there for us to close. SBA is closed until the shutdown is over. No closing until they reopen

Also, my wife has worked as a government contractor for 30 years and was scheduled to start a new government contract on January 1. That is postponed until the government is reopened.

Loan on hold, every penny is savings tied up and zero income and no back pay when the shutdown ends.

I've had to go to the business property owner and explain all of this and he was very understanding.

The owners of the home we lease were not understanding. trump supporters.

I've talked to cable, internet, cellphone, etc and we can put them off a couple weeks but that's it. Car loan would not even listen.

We are very stressed and depressed and don't know what to do.

trump said we should simply adjust and that he can relate.

I guess we could take the business downpayment out of the bank and lose the business we've spent two years and a huge amount of money on. We have no good options.
