Upthevibe's JournalDallas - Reiki Practitioner..
Hi Everyone
Does anyone have a Reiki Practitioner they can recommend in the Dallas area? I want to gift a friend of my friend's who's been very helpful.
I'm in Texas working over the summer (I'll be back home in California in September). I know I can google it but I thought DU'ers might have some personnel recommendations.
Thank you!

(I'll also post this in the regional forum)
Mini-series, Painkiller....
Wow.........I thought it was riveting....
It was very different than Dopesick because of how the storyline was structured.
I was expecting to be disappointed but was very, very impressed.
Richard Sackler is a Psychopath...............
David Pakman........

I'd like DU'ers opinions of these comments by David Pakman.....
Thank you!
Alan Arkin.....
There was something so special about this actor to me. I'm not sure why. IMHO, him being in a movie automatically elevated the film.
R.I.P.
I LOVE it when synchronistic things happen....
I believe in a Higher Power, Spirit Guides, and that we live on after we pass away. I think we're Spiritual Beings having a human experience.
Yesterday, I was at the campus getting ready for the students' graduation. There's normally cool music in the background playing while we're preparing for various events.
The song "'Aint No Sunshine When She's Gone" came on and I noted how much I really like that tune. Then, a couple of hours later I was running errands and had the windows down in my car. The car next to me had their radio on and the same song was playing. I thought to myself how cool. Then, this morning someone was in my room (I live in an apt.) doing some work and I asked if they'd like some music on. She said she'd like to listen to the 70's channel.....So..........I turn the T.V. to that channel and you got it...."Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" was on!
I love this stuff!!!!
Movie: To Leslie
As someone who's in recovery
I thank God/Spirit/My Higher Power/The Universe EVERYDAY that I didn't ruin my life. Oftentimes I don't feel I deserve the life I have.
What a heartbreaking but in the end a beautiful film.
Frontline: Clarence and Ginni Thomas....
I watched it last night with a friend. I was just blown away. The filmmakers did an amazing job.
I'd love to hear feedback from my fellow DU'ers...... (This is a repost from The Lounge)

I need ideas for summer jobs.....
Hi All....
I'm a permanent substitute teacher (by choice, I LOVE IT).....
There is NO work during the summer because the summer school that students need to attend are run by the regular teachers.
Also, the camps and outdoor activity jobs go to the teacher aides, paraprofessionals, etc. And, I can't work outdoors in the heat because I have Fibromyalgia.
I worked for the County of Los Angeles last summer (as an in-home health provider) but it was a mess (I won't go into details).
I'd love to Nanny/babysit, help elderly people, etc. I can't do retail/fast food because I have too many food allergies and retail is a major trigger for me.
Right now I need ideas (no matter how off the wall)!
Thanks to all
