A bizarre lawsuit involving a California woman’s charge that Donald Trump raped her when she was an underage teen have resurfaced, this time in a Manhattan Federal Court.

Trump, the Republicans’ presumptive presidential candidate, has already denounced the allegations once as “categorically false” and “disgusting.”

But the lawsuit — dismissed by a Los Angeles Federal Court judge last month — has new life and the backing of a new lawyer, although some of the salacious charges have been dropped.

But the complaint’s core allegations remain unchanged, that Trump and Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at a series of Manhattan sex parties Epstein hosted in 1994.

The woman’s lawyer, Thomas Meagher, said the original suit, which she filed without the help of an attorney, was dismissed because it cited statutes that did not apply to the case.

A new report from Politico highlights criticism from several Secret Service veterans targeting an upcoming anti-Hillary Clinton book from former Secret Service officer Gary J. Byrne. Those current and former Secret Service members argue Byrne “was too low-ranking” to have witnessed the gossipy events he details in the book and suggest he is lying for political and financial benefit.

Byrne’s Crisis of Character, which is set to be released next week, has received widespread promotion from conservative media outlets. Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has plugged the book several times on Twitter, claiming it shows Clinton does not have the temperament to be president. Trump also referenced the book during a June 21 Fox & Friends appearance, saying “her Secret Service agent” claims “she’s a total mess.”

Unsurprisingly, the Drudge Report, which has repeatedly promoted allegations from Crisis of Character, reports that Byrne will give his first TV interview promoting the book on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show (Hannity has already pushed the book, including during an interview earlier this month with Trump).

In contrast to the widespread praise from Trump and right-wing media outlets, Secret Service veterans think Byrne’s book is not credible. In a June 21 article, Politico reports complaints about the book from “several high-level members of Secret Service presidential details,” who say Byrne is “inflating his role,” relaying unverified gossip, and making “security harder by eroding the trust between agents and the people they protect.”

The nonpartisan Association of Former Agents of the United States Secret Service (AFAUSSS) will reportedly release a statement ripping the book, which Politico says “very carefully calls Byrne a liar.”

A whole six hours ago, an adviser and head of the communications for Donald Trump’s caucus operations team named Michael Caputo responded to new of Corey Lewandowski‘s firing as campaign manager by tweeting, “Ding dong the witch is dead!” He capped it off with a shot of the iconic Wizard of Oz scene that shows the Wicked Witch’s feet peeking out from under a house. Classy!

Now, he’s gotten the boot from the campaign, too.

According to CNN, he wrote a letter to chairman Paul Manafort and right-hand-man Rick Gates that said this:

I regret sending out a tweet today alluding to the firing of Corey Lewandowski. In hindsight, that was too exuberant a reaction to this personnel move. I know this is a distraction from the kind of campaign you want to run, so I’m resigning my position as director of communications for caucus operations at the 2016 Republican Convention. Let’s make this immediate.

Seriously, what is going on at the Trump campaign?

(CNN VAN) - The FBI is offering $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the East Area Rapist, a man who police say committed 12 murders, raped 45 women and burglarized 120 homes between 1976 and 1986.

Just how desperate is the Republican Party to get rid of presumptive Presidential nominee Donald Trump before he becomes locked into the place at the convention and it’s too late to turn back? With his poll numbers plummeting and his favorability rating now the worst on record, the GOP is fearful that Trump will take the entire party down with him in November. One of Trump’s allies is hinting that if the party paid him $150 million, he might be willing to drop out peacefully. And big-money republican voices are already biting on it.

Former Donald Trump advisor Jim Dornan floated the notion on Friday that for $150 million he might be willing to go away. It wasn’t entirely clear whether this was merely one Trump ally mouthing off of his own accord, or if Trump himself was planting this seed and this number with the media as part of a strategy to get a deal rolling. In any case leading conservative republican voice Bill Kristol immediately tweeted out the response “Done.”

Kristol believes he could get fifteen republican billionaires to cough up ten million dollars a piece in order to pay Trump the hypothetical ransom figure, thus getting him out of the race and allowing the republican party leadership to choose some other nominee at the convention in late July. Such a replacement nominee would enter the fray with no mandate, no momentum, no infrastructure, and little if any favor from Trump’s supporters, and would be highly likely to lose badly.

But such a move would allow the republican party to regain control of itself in time to have a fighting chance in congressional races, many of which are now seen as being in danger due to the dampening effect of Trump’s offensive mouth and refusal to work with party leaders in any capacity. So how real or how hypothetical is this notion of paying Trump to go away? Stay tuned.
