True Dough's JournalMilitarization of the police force, you say? Take a look at this...
Yeah, it's a warning meant to intimidate heroin dealers. But some people are saying the impression it creates of law enforcement officers is doing more damage than any prevention of drug crimes that may result.
Enjoy looking over your shoulder constantly wondering if todays the day we come for you, says Lake County Sheriff Peyton Grinnell in the video, Enjoy trying to sleep tonight wondering if tonights the night our SWAT team blows your front door off the hinges.
Masked SWAT team members are behind Grinnell in the video, concealing their identities because theyre in undercover investigations.
Views on the video are conflicting. Many on Twitter didnt agree with the approach, criticizing and comparing them to ISIS.

NFL players want to arm wrestle in competition, league says "not so fast!"
Would you watch this event? Do you think the league should let the players participate?
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN on Sunday that the league just became aware of The Pro Football Arm Wrestling Championship and will be looking into it further. Participating players could be in violation of the league's gambling policy and may face fines. League personnel are prohibited from making promotional appearances at casinos or other gambling-related establishments.
"Had we been asked in advance if this was acceptable, we would have indicated that it was in direct violation of the gambling policy," Joe Lockhart, NFL vice president of communications, told USA Today Sports, which first reported the league's concern over the event. "No one sought pre-approval."
The contest, which took place April 5-9, is scheduled to be broadcast on CBS on May 27-28, with the championship round shown on June 3.

U.S. Navy strike group to move toward Korean peninsula: U.S. official
Source: Reuters
A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea's advancing weapons program.
Earlier this month North Korea tested a liquid-fueled Scud missile which only traveled a fraction of its range.
The strike group, called Carl Vinson, includes an aircraft carrier and will make its way from Singapore toward the Korean peninsula, according to the official, who was not authorized to speak to the media and requested anonymity.
"We feel the increased presence is necessary," the official said, citing North Korea's worrisome behavior.

Hmm. I wonder how much progress, if any, the Donald made with Chinese President Xi Jinping earlier this week when discussing North Korea. Is Drumpf prepared to pre-emptively strike there now too?
If you're going to a ball game, what's the likelihood you're going to eat these?
TOASTED GRASSHOPPERS!!!!
They're serving them at Safeco Field in Seattle during Mariners games this season. $4 a cup. Would you crunch on these babies?

President Xi awkward moment prediction thread
We've seen the ridiculous handshakes...
We've seen the "Oh, are you still here" moments...
So what's it going to be with Chinese President Xi Jinping? Will the Donald spit at him over accusations of currency manipulation, trade surpluses and encroachment in the South Pacific? Will Drumpf call him a derogatory name? Slap him on the back? Put his arm around President Xi in a phony "palsy" display?
Can you say "EXTORTION"???
It's despicable that some landlords would stoop this low to line their pockets.
Citylab reports that many attorneys are juggling cases in which landlords feel empowered to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement to handle their evictions, especially in areas around California where rent prices have skyrocketed as tech-related gentrification takes over...
<snip>
Threats of arrests by ICE have supposedly increased drastically since the election. A policy advocate at the Western Center on Law & Poverty, Jith Meganathan, told Citylab, We have somewhere between two-and-a-half million and three million undocumented individuals living in California, most of whom are renters. Unscrupulous landlords are taking advantage of their knowledge of that fact to deprive tenants of their legal rights.
These fears also affect how people fearing immigration officials report other crimes, for example instances of domestic abuse. Lawyers have reported losing cases as victims fear being rounded up at the courthouse. This fear is not unfounded. In fact, the Associated Press reports that sexual assaults reported by Latinos in Los Angeles have dropped 25 percent, and domestic violence reports by Latinos have decreased by 10 percent compared to the same period last year.

Bradenton, Fla., police officer hailed for pistol whipping burglar rather than using deadly force
The cop would have been justified in firing his weapon after the man lunged at him and allegedly tried to gouge his eyes but the officer chose to strike the suspect with it instead.
Anytime that you can get into a fight like this and walk away, and you both walk away, its always a good day, said Weldon.
