Sunoco blend-o-matic gas

After posting the Steppingwolf and Josefus songs got me to remember about buying that gas. I would run normal gas (15-17 cents per gallon) during the week. But Thursday I'd hit the Sunoco and put in the "good" stuff. For street racing through the week end. They offered 8 grades of gas.

For those who never heard of a sunoco blend-o-matic they sold some really high octane gas compared to other stations.

Here's one of the gas pumps.

I had 2 cars I would toss some of it in. A 1967 400 cubic inch 4 on the floor gto. With mandatory hood pins. (Just kidding about mandatory but they were in at the time.) And a 1964 chevy impala with a 327 and 4 on the floor. Both had the kind of normal upgrades holley, glass packs, chrome, etc.

'Accidental hero' finds kill switch to stop spread of ransomware cyber-attack

From the Guardian

An “accidental hero” has halted the global spread of the WannaCry ransomware, reportedly by spending a few dollars on registering a domain name hidden in the malware.

The ransomware has wreaked havoc on organizations including FedEx and Telefonica, as well as the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), where operations were cancelled, x-rays, test results and patient records became unavailable and phones did not work.

However, a UK cybersecurity researcher tweeting as @malwaretechblog, with the help of Darien Huss from security firm Proofpoint, found and activated a “kill switch” in the malicious software."

Looks like it had a built in kill switch. It would check if a domain was live. And if it was live (AKA registered) it would shut down.

'Accidental hero' finds kill switch to stop spread of ransomware cyber-attack

An “accidental hero” has halted the global spread of the WannaCry ransomware, reportedly by spending a few dollars on registering a domain name hidden in the malware.

The ransomware has wreaked havoc on organizations including FedEx and Telefonica, as well as the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), where operations were cancelled, x-rays, test results and patient records became unavailable and phones did not work.

However, a UK cybersecurity researcher tweeting as @malwaretechblog, with the help of Darien Huss from security firm Proofpoint, found and activated a “kill switch” in the malicious software.

The switch was hardcoded into the malware in case the creator wanted to stop it spreading. This involved a very long nonsensical domain name that the malware makes a request to – just as if it was looking up any website – and if the request comes back and shows that the domain is live, the kill switch takes effect and the malware stops spreading.

Josefus

Long time back in a different world you could go to a park and hear such bands as Josefus for free. (Heard ZZ Top there also.) Strange memories and times. Milby Park in Houston had a long run. It did change over time. I was even there the day the police came in with buses to bust everyone they could. All of us who had motorcycles got away pretty easy going through the woods and coming out past them.

Dipshit donnie's chinese beef

I didn't see this mentioned here. Dipshit donnie took a victory lap saying he made a feal with China to allow U.S. beef to be imported in to China. Well it might come as a surprise to some since it was announced Sept. 22, 2016

For the USDA web page announcing it. Check it out before it gets deleted.

Question about flynn's senate intel subpoena

Toward the first of the house and senate investigations they said they were going to make sure what they did wouldn't interfere with the fbi investigation. Now that they have subpoenaed flynn does that mean the fbi investigation is to a point where it doesn't matter?

May 10, 2017

Little fun presidential fact

The only person who can arrest dipshit donnie is Frank J. Larkin he is the present Sergeant of Arms of the U.S. Senate.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_J._Larkin

But sadly there are restrictions.

"The Sergeant at Arms can, upon orders of the Senate, arrest and detain any person who violates Senate rules."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_at_Arms_of_the_United_States_Senate

Edit to add: After he is out a different story.
