https://www.wesh.com/article/windermere-officer-arrested-by-fbi-in-connection-with-us-capitol-riot/37039261

Officials with the Windermere Police Department announced Thursday that an officer was arrested in connection with the US Capitol riot that took place in January.

According to Windermere police, Officer Kevin Tuck has been charged with:

• Obstruction of an official proceeding, aiding and abetting

• Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds

• Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds

• Entering and remaining in the gallery of Congress

• Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building

• Parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building

Tuck has been a member of the Windermere Police Department since May of 2019.

Windermere officials said they contacted the FBI on Jan. 11 when a fellow officer expressed concerns. Tuck reportedly initially denied being inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 and stated he "was never close" and was just attending a rally.

In July, the FBI notified the department that a warrant was being secured for Tuck.

Gladiator Guy Bites the Dust...Nathan Wayne Entrekin

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/roman-gladiator-costume-capitol-riot-trump-fbi_n_60f08b8ae4b022142cf67b8b

Nathan Wayne Entrekin, a man who wore a Roman gladiator costume to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot in support of former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, was arrested by federal authorities on Thursday.

Entrekin, whom online “sedition hunters” had dubbed “Caesar No Salad,” wore his costume to portray Captain Moroni, a figure from the Book of Mormon who ― as spelled out in Entrekin’s FBI affidavit ― “sought to defend the liberties of his people ― the Nephites ― from another group ― the Amalickiahites ― that wanted to overthrow democracy and install a king.” He was arrested in Cottonwood, Arizona.

A tipster contacted the FBI about Entrekin on Jan. 11, and the FBI was able to confirm his identity through “a review of public databases and open source intelligence (OSINT)” as well as an interview with Entrekin on Feb. 2.

The FBI got permission to search Entrekin’s phone. On it, they found videos of him narrating the scene for his mother (whom he lives with) about what he’s seeing at the Capitol.

“I’m here, Mom!” Entrekin says in one video. “This is my flag!”

A Duluth man was arrested Wednesday on charges that he was one of the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol earlier this year.

Jonathan Davis Laurens, 38, faces two charges related to the Jan. 6 incident in Washington D.C., which happened as Congress was convened to certify the Electoral College votes which made President Joe Biden’s election over former President Donald Trump official.

The first charge is listed as knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.

Individuals commented on the photo on Laurens’ Facebook page to which Laurens occasionally replied,” officials wrote in the arrest documents. “For example, LAURENS posted, ‘we got into the capitol (sic), walked around, chanted some slogans and stuff. A few bad apples were trying to break windows and kick on doors, but most of us put that s--- to bed real fast. We weren’t there to tear s--- up, just disrupt the system. All in all, I had fun! Lol.’”

Another one Bites the Dust...AND FLIPS !!....Mark Grods,

Oath Keeper Associate Who Stormed Capitol In Golf Cart Will Cooperate With Government

A Donald Trump supporter who teamed up with members of the Oath Keepers to storm the U.S. Capitol building has testified before a grand jury and reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors in which he admits he entered into a conspiracy to obstruct the Jan. 6 certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College win.

Mark Grods, according to a criminal information filed ahead of his plea agreement hearing on Wednesday afternoon, will admit he was part of a military “stack” formation and entered the Capitol building carrying a large stick on Jan. 6. Grods will admit that he brought firearms to Washington, D.C., and “eventually provided them to another individual to store in a Virginia hotel.” (Trump supporters wanted to bring weapons to the Capitol on Jan. 6, but were worried they’d be stopped by law enforcement before they reached the Capitol under D.C. gun laws.)

Grods stayed in the Mayflower Hotel, according to the criminal information, and entered the Capitol building through the eastern doors to the rotunda “minutes after” others Grods traveled with “entered the same doors and assaulted law enforcement officers in the Rotunda.” He entered the building “with a large stick,” the agreement said.

The two-count criminal information, which charges Grods with the conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding as well as aiding and abetting, includes a cooperation component.

Justice Department announces first charges for assault on news media at US Capitol riot

The Justice Department announced Thursday that it has charged a US Capitol riot suspect with assaulting a cameraman during the January 6 attack, saying the Illinois man is the first insurrection defendant to be arrested for allegedly harming a member of the media.

Shane Jason Woods, 43, has been charged with a number of federal offenses, including assault on a law enforcement officer, assault in special maritime and territorial jurisdiction, and engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, according to a statement from the department.

Woods allegedly tripped and pushed to the ground a US Capitol Police officer who had been sprayed with bear mace by a rioter moments earlier, the statement said.

He also allegedly "ran into and tackled" a cameraman outside the Capitol, according to court filings. Officials said publicly available video capturing scenes from the riot showed Woods "walking closely around a cameraman" and that soon after he is "observed running into and tackling this same cameraman as the cameraman is facing away from Woods."

https://www.courierpostonline.com/story/news/2021/06/23/brian-bingham-capitol-riot-insurrection-pennsville/5330587001/

A man with South Jersey ties is accused of assaulting federal officers as part of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Brian Glenn Bingham, 35, “appeared to throw a punch or a shove” as an officer tried to remove him from the building during the riot, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

It alleges video from an officer’s body-worn camera shows Bingham shouting: “You won’t hurt Antifa but you’ll murder innocent girls!” and “Where do you want me to move? Push me again!”

Bingham is a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, but also has an address in Pennsville, Salem County, the federal prosecutor’s office said.

Bingham was identified in online tips from three people who served with him in the Army, it said in a statement Wednesday.

https://triblive.com/local/westmoreland/3-more-western-pa-residents-including-scottdale-man-charged-in-capitol-riots/

A Westmoreland County man and two others from Beaver County are among the latest to face charges related to the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.

Samuel C. Fox of Scottdale, Mitchell P. Vukich of New Brighton and Nicholas Perretta of Baden all face charges related to the incident, in which a large crowd fought with Capitol police and broke into the U.S. Capitol building as lawmakers were certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election.

An officer patrolling the Bridgeport Dam on Tuesday night spotted a group there after dark, said Chief Henry Fontana of the Westmoreland County Park Police. Fox was with the group and authorities learned of the federal arrest warrant.

“They checked his ID and got a hit on him,” Fontana said.

Fox is accused of violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, knowingly entering a restricted building without lawful
authority and related charges.

Fifth person pleads guilty in Capitol riot

A Tennessee man on Tuesday became the fifth person to plead guilty for their involvement in the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

According to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for D.C., Bryan Wayne Ivey agreed to plead guilty to parading, demonstrating, or picketing inside a Capitol building, violating a federal law that forbids violent entry and disorderly conduct.

As part of the agreement, Ivey agreed to pay $500 in restitution for the nearly $1.5 million in damages that were caused by the riot. The other three charges against him were dropped.

Ivey was arrested in Cookeville, Tenn., on March 4 on additional charges of knowingly entering a restricted building without lawful authority, disorderly conduct on restricted grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building.

He faces up to six months in prison as well as a fine of up to $5,000.

Indiana woman to plead guilty in Capitol riot wrote reports on 'Schindler's List,' more

A Bloomfield woman will plead guilty this week for her role in the U.S. Capitol riot after appealing to the court that she has learned from her participation from movies and books such as "Schindler's List" and "Just Mercy."

Anna Morgan-Lloyd has agreed to plead guilty to one of her pending federal charges in the Jan. 6 insurrection in exchange for three years probation, $500 in restitution and community service.

The 49-year-old attended what initially began as a rally with her friend Dona Sue Bissey — also federally charged in the riot. Bissey, whose case is still pending, is scheduled to appear in court July 19.

In a letter to the judge, Morgan-Lloyd apologized for entering the U.S. Capitol and said she feels “ashamed” about how the march that day turned violent. She attached movie and book reports to her letter, summarizing “Schindler’s List” and “Just Mercy.” Her attorney recommended them, she said, to learn “what life is like for others in our country.”
