SC Wal-Martian arrested

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina woman has been arrested and charged after police found her 2-year-old son asleep alone in a shopping cart in a Wal-Mart.

Local media said a police report states several employees noticed the boy sleeping in the game room of the Anderson store Thursday.

Paging the parents didn't work so they called police.

Responding officers noticed a woman watching them and say she walked away when they approached her. Twenty-nine-year-old Ashley Spivey of Anderson is charged with child neglect.

Doris Kearns Goodwin: Trumps Anger is Going to Blow Up the Presidency

One of the America’s most famous historians, Doris Kearns Goodwin, stopped by the set of Morning Joe on Thursday to give a historical perspective our 45th president, Donald Trump.

“I don’t think he’s taken control of the agenda in any way,” she said. “He’s lost control of the bully pulpit.”

Goodwin, whose book Team of Rivals was a known favorite of Barack Obama, offered an almost Jedi-like assessment of Trump warning that his “anger” could end up consuming him and his administration.

“That anger has to be taken out and go somewhere or it’s going to blow up the presidency,” said Goodwin, who added that any of the presidents she has written about in the past would want Trump to cool it on Twitter.

The Office of International Climate and Clean Energy is the only office at DOE with the words ‘climate’ in its name, and it may be endangered as Trump looks to reorganize government agencies.

Manafort Bought New York Homes With Cash

Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, made millions through his work over the years for Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs.

Manafort also bought New York City real estate, some of it in what appeared to be all-cash deals. And in a series of complex transactions involving various companies, Manafort took out more than $13 million in loans on several of those properties — including $6.5 million borrowed this year from a bank run by an economic advisor to the Trump campaign.

Now, with Manafort figuring in an FBI investigation into allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, his dealings in New York City are coming under renewed scrutiny. They fit a pattern that experts say raises questions about how Manafort was moving money.

The War on Breitbart Now Goes Through Amazon

Sleeping Giants has spent the last four months letting advertisers know that their products are being sold next to articles with headlines like, “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy,” and “Would You Rather Your Child Had Feminism or Cancer?”

This ragtag group of anonymous marketers has convinced 1,600 advertisers to move their ad buys away from the right-wing media site Breitbart, where those headlines appeared, in the last 16 weeks.

And that’s because a lot of these companies don’t know they’re advertising on Breitbart in the first place.

Due to the magic of targeted, programmatic advertising, companies can now buy advertising on ad distribution networks—which can show up almost anywhere on the web, including on hate sites. Sleeping Giants found a solution, if a grueling one: Reach out to each company individually and tell them to blacklist Breitbart in their buy with their digital advertising distributor.

Bridgegate Scandal:Christie Ally Bill Baroni Gets Two Years in Prison

Source: NBC

A former ally of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was sentenced to two years in prison and 500 hours of community service Wednesday for engineering lane closures at the George Washington Bridge as alleged retaliation against a Democratic mayor who didn't endorse the governor.

Bill Baroni, who served as deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, learned his fate from U.S. District Judge Susan Wigenton. His conspirator Bridget Anne Kelly is set to be sentenced later Wednesday.
