Remorse? She was exactly correct

in attacking Bidens/Dems past coziness with Dixiecrats.. which Booker and Castro also went into.

Kamala has the traits you want in a VP - qualified, attractive, tough - like a black female RFK.

Her campaign faltered, but it was/is a strange campaign season, and lest we forget Biden himself was a perennial loser before Obama picked him.

This 'movement against Kamala' is just yet another attempt to knock down a successful (black) woman, just like these types tried to take down Pelosi.

Biden does fuck up alot, let's face facts.

Biden goes on this guy's show, which was an opportunity to shore up his support with younger people and younger PoC specifically, and then get's defensive and says something cringeworthy like 'you ain't black if..' etc.

Then he recently made the 'first racist president' comment. I understand what he was trying to say (that Trump is the first overtly racist president in modern times) but let's get real America was built on racism.

Biden needs to listen more and talk less.

Kamala, Corey and Castro made legitimate critiques of Biden and the Dem's past coziness with Dixiecrats - and alot of white liberals got the vapors - but the fact is it was good for Biden as he got to address that stuff before the GE when Trump/GOP would've tried to use it to depress AA turnout.

Not wearing a mask is like 'shouting fire in a crowded theater.'

Our rights are not absolute as courts have ruled time and time again, especially when our actions are detrimental to the public as a whole.

Also, a private establishment can dictate dress code and saftey practices as it sees fit.

People change. The election of Trump was a traumatic moment

in American history à la the JFK assassination, 9/11, etc - and people can change dramatically after such events.

Politics is also a street fight where ugliness often works. Wilson/Schmidt et al were GOP henchmen and their past views/actions can be viewed in that light. They were paid to do a job and they did it.

Basically the Never Trumpers working for our side now is like Operation Paperclip - in WWII where the US retained the services of former Nazi scientists, many of whom were involved in terrible things but who then were brought over to work for 'the good side'.

Lying in this case is smart, just like Bill Clinton did.

Reid posted some stupid shit on a private blog many years ago. She never publically advocated against gays, and has in fact been a staunch advocate for LGBTQ rights for her entire public career.

She is basically being targeted by racists and far-leftists who don't like her and want to bring her down - thus it makes perfect sense to lie and say it was 'hacking' or some shit to protect her career (heights few black women would ever reach, up to now most of TV is white dominated) - just like Bill (smartly, justifiably) lied to protect his family.

Agree - gen-x and y culture had homophobic elements

even while being more politically pro-gay that prior generations.

Lots of sitcoms/movies/etc back then played on 'gayness' as a funny trait.

So you have two generations who are politically open to the LGBTQ movement - but have some stupid shit in their cultural past - are we going to write them off?

And it's going to be much more difficult for gen-y(millennials) as their entire lives has been lived online. Gen-x escaped slightly because we came of age at the dawn of the internet before social media.

Millennials are soon entering into middle age and thus the institutions (politics, journalism, etc) and when their stupid facebook posts are unearthed I wonder how that will play out.

The 'homophobe' thing is a smokescreen for white fear of an outspoken black woman.

Reid is fiercely outspoken about racial issues in a way that makes white America (including some white liberals) uncomfortable.

Reid has also spoken out about the harassment she and her staff have received from some in the Sanders camp/supporters - who view her as a 'neoliberal shill' or whatever (was noted above they have no problem with Gabbard despite her past far-right views on gays and other topics).

Reid's past comments to me, as a straight male PoC gen-x'er - seem almost mild compared to how we all talked back then.

Homophobic sentiment (even amongst those considered pro-gay) was very common up until the 2010s (as mentioned by other posters above) amongst those of gen-x and gen-y/millennials.

People change, and if people like Warren could be forgiven for being a Republican, then Reid could be forgiven for some homophobic shitposts a generation ago.

Illogical. China would have no interest in killing their consumers.

China is basically the factory for the world, and would have nothing to gain and everything to lose from 'intentionally' spreading a global pandemic.

Now, they were irresponsible, and should have better measures/practices to prevent animal-to-human virus transmission - but that is another discussion.

+1. Fool me twice shame on me.

They stole one election, and would have no problem stealing another, especially that he now has the powers of the presidency and a thug AG to do his bidding.

Michael Cohen, who knows Trump well, said he doesn't believe Trump would leave office peacefully if he loses.

We had our heads in the sand in 2016, and it's good that smart people (credible people, not conspiracists) are thinking out of the box, considering any/all scenarios Trump/Barr/McConnell would use to fuck us.
