Williams and Kalvin’s content was pulled from Facebook in August after it was identified as a Russian government-backed propaganda account, The Daily Beast has confirmed with multiple sources familiar with the account and the reasons for its removal. Williams and Kalvin’s account was also suspended from Twitter in August. But the YouTube page for Williams and Kalvin remains live at press time.

Videos published by Williams and Kalvin in late 2016, especially in October, often engaged in fever swamp theories about Hillary Clinton and in some cases promoting Donald Trump directly.
One specific video published in October, prior to the presidential election, refers to Hillary Clinton as an “old racist bitch.”
“She’s a fucking racist,” the host says over a subdued rap beat. “And this woman is a witch,” he says as a picture portrays Clinton in Wizard of Oz attire. He goes on to praise Julian Assange for releasing hacked emails. “This woman, she’s sick on her head.”
Other videos are more explicit about urging people to vote for Trump.

The pair also promoted a shirt labeling Bill Clinton as a rapist in an October video called “A word of truth about a rapist’s wife.”
“To say the truth, Bill Clinton is a rapist. And there is a lot of fact to prove it,” the host says, before saying the Clintons are “serial killers and they are going to rape the whole nation.”
The video concludes with the line: “We have to do all we can to not allow this racist bitch to become the next president.”
In an August video, one of the hosts explicitly endorses the movie Clinton Cash and begins the video by saying, “I support Bernie Sanders.” “Today is old bitch Clinton time,” the host says before a title card informs people watching that the film will premiere the day prior to the Democratic National Convention.
The rest of the video is an advertisement for the movie, which was based on a book mostly consisting of research from a nonprofit investigative research outfit founded by Breitbart editor Peter Schweizer and Breitbart CEO and ousted White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

This view represents a fundamental misunderstanding of political chaos creation. Russians targeted California and New York, Texas and Alabama for the same reason candidates come to these states to fundraise, even though the electoral votes of these states are, for the moment, a foregone conclusion. These states are where broad swaths of the ideological base of the parties reside. These states are where opinion makers hail from. Get the opinion-makers bombarded with a certain message, and suddenly they are bending opinions far away from their keyboards or studios.
Another thing. Because these states are ripe with active, ideological Right and Left, target ads to them to notice a story is an effective way of getting it onto the radars of people on their timelines, without spending a dime in extra advertising money. The ideologically fervent are often people on their social media circles look to for political stories, slants, opinions. Get a cadre of right wingers in Texas to believe that Hillary Clinton is deathly ill, and suddenly everyone on their timelines from Michigan and Ohio are wondering if there's merit to the lie. Get a group of Left wingers to buy that Hillary Clinton will start a nuclear war, and suddenly their sympaticos in Wisconsin are voting Stein.
There is also an argument that a clearly focused campaign to get Donald Trump elected would not target issues like police-shootings and racial tensions that, pre-election, weren't clear would work out in favor of Trump's election.
This, once again, is a missing the forest for the trees. Recall that Donald Trump himself exacerbated racial tensions - about the only thing he's ever been consistent about. Hillary Clinton ran on a platform of Stronger Together while Trump took the track of I alone can fix it. Fueling racial tensions created a message atmosphere that helped push Russian and Trump campaign propaganda to make white people scared of losing their systematic privilege more easily. At the same time, targeting the Left kept many from voting for Hillary Clinton in crucial states.

In case you haven’t heard, Kelly’s new NBC morning show, which premiered last week, has been a complete and utter disaster. And insiders say the network is totally freaking out about it.
Kelly’s first week was plagued with all sorts of gaffes and awkward moments. When she wasn’t asking Will & Grace fans if the show is what “turned them gay,” then she was insulting Jane Fonda by asking the Hollywood legend why she’s “not proud to admit” that she’s had plastic surgery.
Oh, then there was that little incident on Friday’s episode when a cameraman accidentally stepped in front of Kelly’s interview with soccer star Carli Lloyd and said “shit!” on the air.

All the while, ratings were tanking. Kelly lost around half a million viewers within the first four episodes. She also managed to garner quite a bit of bad press along the way.
The New York Times called the show “awkward” and “just not enjoyable.” The Los Angeles Times said it was “rocky,” “rough,” and said the chilly reception should be “a worrying sign for a network.”
And let’s not forget The Washington Post, which called Kelly “nervous” and “awkward” and compared watching the show to “watching a network try to assemble its own Bride of Frankenstein, using parts of Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and whatever else it can find.”
“It’s like an implosion,” an NBC insider tells Vanity Fair. “Everyone is surprised at how quickly it’s gone badly. People are just like, ‘oh my god.’”
“It’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck,” another insider adds.

Citing 'Inadequate' Response From US Government, Oxfam Will Step in to Aid Puerto Rico
Two weeks after Hurricane Maria, as Donald Trump heads to a devastated Puerto Rico whose residents he claimed “want everything to be done for them,” there is still very little cell phone service, only 5 percent of the electrical grid is back up, roads and bridges are destroyed, and over half the island lacks running water. When the Defense Department belatedly sent Lt. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan to head up relief efforts, he called the damage “the worst I’ve ever seen,” describing it as “like an atomic bomb went off.” The situation facing the US Virgin Islands is disastrously similar.
Oxfam America, a global anti-poverty organization, has taken the unusual step of getting involved in a disaster being managed by a wealthy first-world nation, something they don’t normally do.
“Oxfam has monitored the response in Puerto Rico closely, and we are outraged at the slow and inadequate response the US government has mounted in Puerto Rico,” Oxfam America president Abby Maxman said in a statement on Tuesday. “Clean water, food, fuel, electricity, and health care are in desperately short supply and quickly dwindling, and we’re hearing excuses and criticism from the administration instead of a cohesive and compassionate response.”
Scott Paul, Oxfam America’s senior humanitarian policy advisor, spoke to Jezebel about the organization’s decision to dive in.
“In the United States, as in most wealthy and frankly even middle-income countries, we assume that the government will lead in any disaster response, and that civil society will work together with the government and fill the gaps and hold the government accountable,” Paul said.

Oxfam America is stepping in to help Puerto Rico, saying the Trump administration's response has been “inadequate."
The global non-profit's president, Abby Maxman, said in a statement Tuesday that the group is “outraged” at the U.S. government’s slow response in Puerto Rico, where more than half of the population is without clean drinking water, and food and electricity are scarce in the wake of Hurricane Maria. “We’re hearing excuses and criticism from the administration instead of a cohesive and compassionate response,” Maxman said.
The organization primarily focuses on humanitarian aid in developing nations and rarely helps wealthy countries like the U.S., but says it is making an exception as the situation in Puerto Rico worsens.
Maxman said the group will join with Puerto Rican leaders to work with Congress and federal agencies to organize relief efforts, adding that a team has been sent to San Juan to provide direct resources to residents, particularly in rural communities.
