muse w/Brian Johnson - back in black (live - 2017 - reading) - kickass ...

muse w/ The Edge - where the streets have no name (live-glastonbury-2010) ... no words

Other than ... watching this is the only time I've turned the stereo hooked up to my PC ... as loud as it f***ing goes ... and that's VERY loud ... and it brought me to tears

lcd soundsystem - i can change (studio - 2010) - one of my all-time fave tunes

Yeah, I know it's totally reminiscent of Obsession by Eurythmics but I adore that song, too, so ...

Anyways, turn it the hell up and dance naked!

Tell me a line
Make it easy for me
Open your arms
Dance with me until I feel all right

It's good in the dark
Good in the dark
But into the lover's light
Here comes another fight

So ring the alarm
Ring the alarm
Bar me and hold me and cling to my arm
Here it comes
Here it comes

And what you're asking me now
Disastrous now
Hoping and hoping and hoping the feeling goes away

Never change, never change, never change, never change
Never change, never change, never change
This is why I fell in love
Never change, never change, never change, never change
Never change, never change, never change
That's just who I fell in love ... with

Oh this is the time
The very best time
So give me a line
And take me home
Take me over

But dashing the hopes
Dashing the hopes
And smashing the pride
The morning's got you on the ropes, oh

And love is a murderer
Love is a murderer
But if she calls you tonight
Everything is all right
Yeah, we know

And love is a curse
Shoved in a hearse
Love is an open book to a verse
Of your bad poetry
And this is coming from me

But I can change, I can change, I can change, I can change
I can change, I can change, I can change
If it helps you fall in love

Turn on the light
Make it easy for me
Fill the divide
Fumble in the kitchen 'til it's right
What an awful sight

But there's love in your eyes
Love in your eyes
Love in your eyes
But maybe that's just what your lover finds
all night

And I can change, I can change, I can change, I can change
I can change, I can change, I can change
If it helps you fall in love

vampire weekend - harmony hall (studio - 2019) - repost, just because it's awesome

The long-awaited new record, Father of the Bride, does not disappoint. I mean, it's not Modern Vampires of the City great, but very little is.

If this don't sum it up right here, I dunno what does ...

anybody with a worried mind
could never forgive the sight
of wicked snakes inside a place
you thought was dignified
i don't wanna live like this
but i don't wanna die

An instant fave from today's new record ... a straight-up Paul Simon blast ...

Another bit of genius:

vampire weekend - step (studio-2013) in honor of today's release of their new album ...

after 6 long years of waiting ... first, one of the stunners from their previous album Modern Vampires of the City, which landed at #1 on more end-of-year critic's polls than I've ever seen a record do ... this 2013 song was just stupid good.

muse - madness (live - 2015 - portugal) - been a while since I been to a show with this much love

This is just freaking KILLER in every way ... I hope you have a sub, or at least good headphones ... and turn it the HELL UP!!!

Or if you prefer a version where the crowd is quiet and the sound-quality better, this version is also killer ...

(yeah, I know Muse has some way better tunes ... but everyone knows this one, so ...)

Stampeders - Sweet City Woman (studio - 1971) - Claude Raines on the Banjo lol ...

england dan and john ford coley - what's forever for (studio-1980-ish?) when did you last hear THIS?

Whoever made this YT vid even busted out his vinyl to do it ... props on that. Probably can't even buy the CD anymore. But I had this tape at like 13 yo. I dug it ... These dudes had some good tracks back in the day.

Bonus Track:

Bonus Track 2, their biggest hit ... c'mon, you know you love this song. It's hard to get more 1970's
Radio than this one ... a stone classic ...

the velvet underground - rock and roll (studio-1970) ... and it was alright!

rancid - time bomb (studio-1995) - I mean sh*t, if we're doing some Cali Punk tonight ...

The East Bays OWN ... one of the greatest songs of all time to crank up and bounce around to ... okay it's maybe ska-punk, but still ... the punk attitude is all there!

Bonus Track ... Radio (1994) ... this bassline kicks so much ass ... so turn it up, f***ing LOUD!!!
