The idiotic stolen valor claim part two

The claim: Walz falsely claimed he was a commander sergeant major.

The facts:

In the National Guard, Walz began serving as command sergeant major, a leadership position, in 2004, and was officially appointed to the role in April 2005, shortly before he retired from service, according to National Guard records confirmed by ABC News. However Walz did not remain in the role long enough to keep the title in retirement.

He retired while he held the rank of command sergeant major, but does not hold the rank commander sergeant major, ret.

These people are absolutely shameless disgraceful shits.

Why newsrooms haven't published leaked Trump campaign documents

…. (Background)

Now, eight years later, media organizations are being tested again with how best to cover news from an alleged hack, without playing into the hands of foreign actors looking to interfere in American elections. For now, the decision among the outlets that received the documents has been not to publish them, focusing instead on the possible hack itself.

“This episode probably reflects that news organizations aren’t going to snap at any hack that comes in and is marked as ‘exclusive’ or ‘inside dope’ and publish it for the sake of publishing,” said Matt Murray, executive editor of The Post. Instead, “all of the news organizations in this case took a deep breath and paused, and thought about who was likely to be leaking the documents, what the motives of the hacker might have been, and whether this was truly newsworthy or not.”

The double standard is inescapable.

Minnesota Ilhan Omar, member of the 'Squad', wins Minnesota Democratic primary

Source: The Guardian

Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has won the state Democratic primary for her seat, according to the Associated Press, in a rematch against Don Samuels that comes two years after she barely eked out a victory against him.

With 216 of 217 precincts reporting results, Omar was leading Samuels 56.2%-42.9%, according to Minnesota Secretary of State tallies.

“We run the politics of joy,” Omar told supporters in Minneapolis on Tuesday evening. “Because we know it is joyful to fight for your neighbors ... We know it is joyful to make sure housing is a human right. We know it is joyful to fight for health care to be a human right. We know it is joyful to want to live in a peaceful and equitable world.”

The media propaganda attempts to push

us into inter-party conflicts from which, when whatever the issue happens to be (for example the choice of vp) is decided, the ‘losing’ side feels betrayed and is bitterly disappointed.

The intent, as always, is to dampen enthusiasm and discourage us from voting.

The only way they can win this election is if enough of us don’t vote.

Harris turns around New Hampshire.

The presidential campaign has been reset, and Harris is now “the new favorite to win New Hampshire,” said Neil Levesque, executive director of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.

While 50 percent of likely New Hampshire voters picked Harris when asked who they would vote for if the election were held now, 44 percent picked Republican nominee and former president Donald J. Trump, and 3 percent picked independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to the Saint Anselm College Survey Center poll, which had a margin of sampling error of 2.1 percentage points.

A poll from the University of New Hampshire Survey Center also showed Harris with a 6-point lead: Harris landed at 49 percent, Trump at 43 percent, and Kennedy at 4 percent, with a margin of sampling error of 1.8 percentage points.

Both of these surveys show marked improvement for the presumptive Democratic nominee in the wake of the change at the top of the Democratic ticket. In May, the UNH poll found that Biden was only 3 points ahead of Trump. In June, the Saint Anselm poll found that Biden was 2 points behind.

My guess is: The Return of the Birf Sirtificut

I mean he can't possibly pass over this as his attack on Harris, can he?
(Neither of Harris's parents were US Citizens, as far as I can tell, but she was absolutely born in the USA, and consequently is a natural born citizen and fully qualified, but those are just facts.)

This is where he got on the crazy train for his political career, attacking Obama's legitimacy due to his being black, no I meant due to his being born in Kenya.

Avoid getting sucked into the vortex.

One strategy for the opposition propaganda system is to amplify dissent within our people. Specifically to heighten the animosity and hopefully to channel people into such extreme positions that whichever side eventually ‘loses’ whatever the conflict is, they will be unable to support the party.

Don’t be fooled. Chill out. Nothing you say or do here is going to affect the outcome.

The target is Trump, not each other.

On the brighter side: TCF doesn't have a brain worm that made him eat a dog.

You see? We haven't actually reached the bottom of the pit yet.

YET

NYT is not even trying to pretend.

Two headlines in today’s NYT political coverage:

For Trump, Doug Burgum Emerges as a Safe Option, and a Wild Card

Biden Loves to Tell Tall Tales. We Cut Them Down to Size.

The first headline promotes Trump as a responsible serious presidential candidate.

The second headline portrays Biden as a goofball.
