May I make a suggestion?

Yes, I know I am new to the board and I probably have no right to do this but I am. The reason why I am saying this is not only because of the races tonight BUT because of a post earlier today asking if Megan Kelly's looks was the reason why people on this board felt the way they did about her.


Here is the thing we have got to realize: We are all citizens of this country. We are not each other's enemy. National politics have helped to make us so polarized. Once upon a time (with the events of certain times in our history) we were groups of people that worked toward a compromise for the common good of the country and our fellow citizens. Yes, at times we fell sort but at times our compromise did so much good.

Here is the thing we need to stop looking at our neighbors and family as the enemy ruining the country. We need to start dialogging about each other. We need to see the human in each of us. Maybe if republican and democratic neighbors start compromising on small things when faux news start spewing and those terrifying political ads do start playing we can have dialogs about the real issues and maybe change some minds.

Yes those races had been closer than they might have been. Maybe I am speaking out of fear. In my mind I am seeing one political party taking over this country in almost a coup like strategy with help from one of America's greatest advisory.

Maybe it is the helpless feeling I have because I read too much and this whole Trump RUssia thing is unfolding so slowly. I am just thinking if we humanize each other not lecture but conversations and humanizing events it might make things better the next election.

I'm tired of looking at enemies every time I go to the store and I'm sorry if I offended. Maybe I just needed to vent. I understand if I am kicked off.

McConnell & Ryan & GOP fall out

I honestly Believe Trump & Pence will be impeached and a friend said "oh, great a Paul Ryan Presidency. But I honestly believe Ryan and McConnell will face charges as well. Yes, no evidence just gut feeling. When the "pussyfooting tape" came out Ryan and the GOP should have thrown Trump off the ticket. I couldn't understand why they didn't unless being blackmailed by Russia (yes, I believe Russia hacked the RNC to use info against those that do not have money ties to Russia)

I honestly also can't understand why people aren't making a fuss about McConnell and his threat to the gang of 8 about revealing the evidence before the election. He threaten to make it a partisan campaign.

I am sorry if this has been talked about I am just frustrated how slow it seems to go at times. I just heard from a person who voted for TRump and Racist and are very happy the Republicans are "putting democrats in their place" and if they had help for. Russia it was a good plan to get the "right" people in Charge.

I have been reading a lot of Greg Palast articles and it blows my mind what is being discovered...

Are my hopes too high? Will the truth be revealed?

Now I wanted to introduce them slowly but with Mollie so keen on exploring and Hubby saying they have to get use to each other I figure I would be okay.

+ the Rescue center said they should be okay they had been housed together in Feb. Manny is up stairs and exploring more but he is hissing at her a little. He also again let me pet him while I fed him chicken.

I don't want to take a huge step backwards on any bonding.

I also had a huge break through with Brooklyn. Usually when he hides I can't coach him out BUT this morning I used a chicken trail to get him to come out. He won't come near me BUT for him to do that was huge.

I just want this to all work out.

Hi

New to the board. So I live with my hubby in a red county south of Pittsburgh. Forward/liberal thinker all my life. Hubby and I bought our first home and we decided to adopt two 1year old cat brothers (yes, they are brothers) Manhattan (Manny)and Brooklyn (Brooks) -named by the rescue center. We had gone to Petco to see what the process was to adopt the kittens they always have displayed. When we got there a rescue center had cats for adoption. Manny & Brooks in same cage they explained Brooks totally depended on Brooks and they didn't want to break them up because they had people interest in Manny not Brooks. Both my hubby and I felt for them we adopted them. Poor things have hid from us for the most part.

Brooks trembled when we touched him. They would hide a lot. At one point the center -I guess- worried we would return them said don't give them, especially Brooklyn to hide in. I found it disturbing and followed my gut. I let them hide I made sure their food& water just outside the master bedroom. I lay on the bed and when they came up I greeted them with their name, a slow blink and a bow of my head. Lay treats out so they come in which they then run back into hallway I was gaining ground slowly -VERY-slowly.

So yesterday back at Petco and the animal rescue is back with 2 cats. I had no desire to speak with them Hubby did & fell I. Love with a very loving 1Year old female Hubby knew I felt bad I couldn't touch them. Asked if I would look at this cat because someone suggested a third cat might help bridge the link between us and them. So I agreed. Mollie very loving and loves cuddling. They said Mollie lived with Manny & Brooks for a while I Feb. We brought her home had put her in a separate room to get her use to us. She wasn't having it Mollie came into our room and when the boys came up to eat she went to them. No hissing some chasing. Today with a bribe of chicken Manny let me let him for 5mins. This evening he laid on bedroom floor. Brooks came in and sat too.

Told this to give u an idea of who I am. Also any suggestions would be welcome ed.
