Number of protests for Trump-Putin Helsinki summit rises to 10

Looks like Helsinki will welcome Trump as well as Brussels and the UK...

The number of demonstrations taking place during the Trump-Putin summit has risen to 10, says Helsinki Police.

The largest, Helsinki Calling, is expected to attract 10,000 participants on Sunday, based on the number of people expressing their attendance or interest on Facebook.

While enthusiasm on Facebook does not always translate into concrete action, Abdirahim “Husu” Hussein, one of the organisers of Helsinki Calling, is hopeful that up to 15,000 people could take part in the rally.

“Helsinki Calling is not a protest against Trump or Putin,” Hussein said.

“Instead, we will be there to defend human rights, freedom of speech, democracy and freedom of the press.”

Other protests include those by Amnesty International, which will demonstrate for human rights and by the Youth of the National Coalition Party, which will march against Trump’s trade policies and Russia’s annexation of the Crimea.

Rufi, a Finnish-Russian association, will protest against russophobia, while the youth wing of the Finns Party will organise a "Welcome Trump" rally to show support for Trump’s immigration policies.

In addition, there will be protests for women’s rights, Afghanistan and South Cameroon, the police said.

As Trump Visits His Scottish Golf Course, a Mystery Remains

It's interesting. Curiously, the "king of debt", made several cash purchases in Scotland...

During his trip to the United Kingdom this week, President Donald Trump is expected to squeeze in a golf outing at one of his two Scottish courses, the Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire and Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire. With this side trip, Trump will be promoting his picturesque, seaside properties, which he touted during the 2016 campaign as evidence of his success as an international businessman. And though Trump’s history in Scotland does reveal much about the real estate developer turned commander-in-chief, the story is not a flattering one.

This is a tale marked by acrimonious feuds with locals and repeated run-ins with regulators. Trump even ran afoul of the court that oversees matters related to Scottish heraldry, when he began promoting one of the golf courses using an unregistered Trump family coat of arms. Moreover, his money-losing Scottish ventures have raised questions about his investment acumen and the murkiness of the Trump Organization’s finances.

Trump’s business dealings in Scotland began in 2006, when he paid $16.6 million for a 1,400 acre parcel of land north of Aberdeen, where he completed the first of two proposed golf courses in 2012. In 2014, he bought Turnberry, an existing course located in southwestern Scotland, for $59 million. Trump sank millions more into developing both properties, but according to UK business records, he has consistently lost money on them. As Bloomberg reported, he has poured $200 million into the ventures and has yet to see a dime of profit.

Donald Trump MOCKED and HUMILIATED for White House Twitter BLUNDER after UK visit

DONALD Trump has been publicly mocked and humiliated after the White House’s official Twitter account made an embarrassing mistake following the US President’s visit to the UK.

Donald Trump has been publicly mocked and humiliated

The White House’s official Twitter account, which has over 17million followers, said Donald Trump was “departing from the UK” ahead of his trip to Scotland, which to the amusement of millions of Twitter followers, is still in the UK.

The White House tweeted: “Today, Donald Trump and Melania Trump had tea with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle before departing the UK.”

Twitter users were quick to criticise and mock the White House for their mistake.

One user wrote: “He's heading to Scotland? Scotland is in the UK.

Another wrote: “He’s still in the UK? Idiots.”

A third person said: “Did you guys just accidentally try to break up the United Kingdom?

“Last time I checked, Scotland was part of the UK.

“They had a big vote on it.”

While one annoyed user said: “This reminds us of that time Trump landed in Scotland and congratulated them on Brexit when 62 percent of Scotland voted Remain.

“Nice work, morons.”

My palace is bigger than yours: An (imagined) transcript of Trump's tea time chat with the Queen

(Yes, Donald, we know this is fake news)

The scene: We find ourselves in the drawing room at Windsor Castle. It is tea time, and the best silverware acquired by the Prince Regent has been deployed, along with the extensive Wedgewood china set given to King George V and Queen Mary, after the old girl dropped a heavy hint at a factory visit to Stoke-on-Trent in 1927...

In attendance: HM the Queen; the Duke of Edinburgh; President Trump; Mrs Melania Trump; Sir Martin Chatterbox, the keeper of the Queen's tupperware; Lord Wensleydale, the page to the toasties; Lady Matilda bake-off, Her Majesty’s jammy dodger pursuivant; the gentlemen ushers of the battenberg cake.

At the last minute, the Prince of Wales has been called away to an ecological emergency in the greenhouse at Highgrove, and is thus unable to lobby the president about the Paris Climate Accord.

The Queen: Ah, Mr Trump, how lovely to see you. How did you enjoy Blenheim yesterday evening?

President Trump: Very much, ma’am. It’s a beautiful, beautiful palace. Well I guess you’d call it a palace… it’s a little small for me, you know. I mean the Trump tower, now that’s a palace, a vertical palace. Blenheim is beautiful, but kinda old. No lifts. No air con. No Coke machine. Everything in England just seems so damn old.

The Queen: Yes, but of course being old isn’t always a disadvantage in life. It was built in the 18th century…

President Trump: I know, I know, the real estate market was way different back then. Very, very different. No planning rules. They were good times in the market.

The Queen: Yes they were. My first prime minister, Winston Churchill, was born there, as you’ll have seen.

President Trump: He was a great leader, a great, great leader, winning that war against Napoleon. Say, whatever happened to Mr Churchill after the war?

The Queen: Well, Sir Winston lost the election to the Labour Party, who started the NHS, and then he came back and accepted everything that the Labour government had done, including immigration from the West Indies and nationalising our great utilities, and the Americans let us have all their nuclear secrets and set up Nato.

President Trump: Great guy, great guy.

The Queen: How do you like your tea, Mr Trump?

President Trump: Strong, strong and stable. It’s American tea, right?

The Queen: Oh yes, I believe so – though not from Boston. The tea caddy was a gift from the people of Sri Lanka. Sir Martin will bring the sandwiches now. The cook has had some made up especially with New York pastrami, and there’s a choice of bagels… and we’ve prepared these old Rhode Island chlorinated chicken salad sub rolls… They had to come over in the diplomatic bag because the EU doesn’t approve, as you know.

President Trump: Delicious, ma’am. Delicious. Really, really delicious. And you know this is all great American food. And American food is just the best in the world. I told Emmanuel Macron that, and you know what? He agreed! ‘Oui, mon ami, Donald!’ What a guy. You ever met him?

The Queen: Well, yes, he seems like quite an ambitious chap. We hope to see each other again soon, and we also hope to see more American food in the larder here, once the trade deal has been signed. Don’t we, Philip?

"I think the deal is not what the people voted on" , says Trump...

First, don't think ! It would be better for everyone !

Second, Brexit was not the result of a "vote" but the result of a referendum, IGNORANUS!!

It means a question was asked to which the answer was yes or no.

Once again, you missed the opportunity to STFU and try to not ridicule and humiliate yourself more than your doing on a daily basis.

And for God's sake, STOP humiliating your country and your fellow citizens !

I'm European and no, I don't admire you, I don't fear you, I don't need you, I won't kneel to you, I don't recognize you as authority either political or moral or whatever !

Go to Hell and give us a rest !
