Progressive2020's JournalCovid Memorial
A thread about Trumps culpability in massive Covid deaths and genocide due to his negligence and incompetence got me thinking. Should we not begin talking about establishing a memorial for the 500,000+ victims of Covid in America?. The number is such an abstraction and hard to grasp. It needs a physical memorial at some point.
I think the history books will show how Trump is largely responsible for those deaths. His incompetance and negligence are responsible for a great number of deaths. A greater number than both World Wars combined. I think that we should have a tangible physical memorial to all of those that died. At some point we might need a memorial commission to look back at the Pandemic deaths and understand the causes and place it in an historical context. Including Trumps genocidal failure. What do you think?
Moderate Republicans Versus Trump Republicans
So as Democrats should we care whether Moderate Republicans control the Republican Party versus Trump Republicans? I say yes. John McCain's last act in the Senate was to vote against the Republican attempt to end Obamacare. A decisive action. Mitt Romney and a few other Republicans have stood against Trump and his mindless minions.
Should we be doing something to prevent the Republican Party from being overrun by Trumpists? Should we be helping moderates and "never Trump" Republicans? Would the country be better if our opponents were more Centrist Repubs versus the crazy Trump people?
