I have come to the conclusion that my current vernacular is insufficient to continue to describe the monstrosity currently squatting his gigantic arse in the white house. Every day that passes makes wanker, arsehole and fucker seem ever tamer. Treasonous traitor, quisling and collaborator fails to suffice. Racist, supremacist nazi fuckwit seems far too tame. Bully-boy narcissistic psychopath is an inadequate descriptor to satisfactorily portray agolf twitler. Unhinged, nasty, out of control tyrant, all seem so last week – he is surpassing these handles in an ever-increasing circle of mania on a daily basis.
My extensive knowledge of the English languages fails to provide the words that are needed at this point to suitably express the depths of odious horror he exhales on a minute by minute basis.
We need new words.
Power is everything - and progressives forget that at their peril

We saw this in the UK election. Ideology is all well and good, purity of thought is great, BUT if you do not have power it is meaningless. Labour in the UK are struggling with this at the moment. Who has the best bet of beating Trump? I don't know who that is at this point, but that needs to be the go to in the primaries, irrespective of individual ideology. Power is everything right now if we in anyway can stop the flow of far right drift in both our nations.

If it was not obvious before, it is surely clear as shit now, with all the noise coming out of the right after sham trial central stuck two fingers up at the rule of law, that there is a significant minority of the population in the States that are fully engaged with dictatorship as model for future governance. Many don’t realise it of course, they wear their ‘patriotism’ literally on their MAGA hats and in their voting habits. They need to believe the rhetoric that the impeachment was an anti-democratic exercise rather than recognise the truth that they are more than comfortable with the destruction of the checks and balances to power that have been such a cornerstone of the American success story. What the senate has done on behalf of the mad man in the WH is really not that interesting to them, as long they can turn more profit, pay less tax etc et al. Couple this with a belief that justice is only for the other, because the powerful patriarchal leaders who reflect them, are them, can do no wrong since they are white supremacist right and therefore the laws of the land does not apply.
We have the fight of our lives for the world’s leading nation to be what it needs to be, both for themselves and for the rest of the world this decade.
