Commons sense tells the average person that this administration is SHOCKING. They have eroded the normal common sense attributes of the base to ensure that when they refuse to convict in the Senate because of power and a hatred of democracy, the suckers will think that this is the right thing to do... voters voting against their own bests interest is the only way these horrible people survive in power, after all.
Trump supporters be like....

This is literally all they want for women. I mean they are greedy to take power and democracy from everyone but the religious far right that pray in the white house believe that God has made us women folk second class citizens. Abortion, Contraction... what next... education.... they do not believe that women have any agency at all.
This is what they plan... this is what they are doing right now...

Democracy is not just about majority rule.
When the voice of the weakest is ignored because of the shouting of the loudest the strongest democratic principles break down.
Democracy is about admitting unfair treatment in a variety of minority communities and working to right those wrongs.
Democracy is about recognising that sometimes the majority is not right.
Democracy is about acknowledging that all people deserve equal representation and rights under the law irrespective of demographic or cohort.
This is the true test of democracy.
