About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

It would be OK if their ridiculousness was not so frigging deadly

They have got this down pat, right? Holding two uniquely converse positions but hey, still sells to the MAGA low hanging IQ fruit, far right cray cray market place of deadly danger.

AND POINT>>>>>>>

You just know that the Karen here demanding teachers risk their lives for her kids, has also gone to demonstrations to ban CRT in schools and is all about don't say gay and calling teachers groomers because they teach facts to their kids.

Teaching is a vocation - not that the morons who are trying to force teachers to be armed would have a scooby about that, because they would not know anything but self promotion and grift if it jump up and bit that on their kleptocratic white supremacist theocratic old white arses.

When the leading cause of death in children is gun violence this is not a 2nd amendment issue it...

...is a public health issue

I was watching the news tonight and they were talking about the horrific stat that in the US the leading cause of death for children is gun violence. Not cancer, not traffic accidents, not tiny fingers in electrical sockets, not stranger danger, not family violence. In America - your child is more likely to die by gun violence than any other cause of childhood death. Do you know how crazy that sounds to everyone in the West? This is a public health emergency.

Oh and the pro life crowd can fuck off right off. They will happy allow the slaughter of babies as long as they have living breathing heart beat.

Sen. Chris Murphy: our kids run for their lives we do nothing? What are we doing? Why are you here?

The absolute horror. Those poor babies. Rinse and repeat. At what point will enough be enough?

Number two goes to Walleye with a stunning Winter Solstice Sunset, Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, Delaware

And my personal favourite that came in third, by, WiVoter with a Upnorth Wisconsin Double Rainbow composition.

I am sure that you all want to give congrats.

These 1950s 'tips to look after your husband' are quite the read

https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2022/05/21/these-1950s-tips-to-look-after-your-husband-are-quite-the-read/

Of course. UGH.

Meanwhile a headline in the daily mail today be like...

But hey that is OK cause as the 1950's tell us:
Prepare the children.
‘Take a few minutes to wash the children’s hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair, and if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part.’

Get into the kitchen and push out those puppies as the fascist theocratic state demands, if they get their way.

Far right theocratic cray cray are gong to have forced birth by any means necessary. No contraception, no sex outside marriage, forced birth in all circumstances. When are these nutters going to realise that the Handmaid Tale is not a rule book to live by? Or trying to mirror some of the controls the Taliban impose on women is not a good luck.

Oklahoma legislature just passed the strictest anti-abortion law, banning abortion at fertilization

Just In: The Oklahoma legislature passed the most strict anti-abortion law, banning abortion at fertilization.

It's not pro-life.
It's pro-control.

And a great response on the thread:

...Meanwhile indeed

No more access to the morning after pill in Oklahoma then. The rest of BC is next, without a doubt.
