Rehoming 1 yr old female cat
Need some advice please. My niece needed to rehome one of her cats and I volunteered. Already have 9 yr old female cat. I have new cat in a bedroom for 4 days. She's friendly, but both she and my cat know there's another cat on other side of door. Should I take her out and let my cat sniff around that room, or should I lock my cat up while new cat sniffs out rest of house? Or both? When should I introduce to each other? Also have 19 yr old female cat but she doesn't get along with anyone, and pretty much sleeps all day.

Today is my mother's 100th birthday
She's in a nursing home, can't get out of bed after Covid, but she's hanging in there. No underlying issues, only hyperthyroid and glaucoma. Asked why she's lived so long she would say, "broccoli."
Loves Rachel Maddow. I keep fresh flowers in her room. She has my deceased brother's seascape painting also. Beloved by us all, she's definitely our matriarch.
Help with new cat in home
My neice needs to rehome a sweet one yr old cat. I have two, but said we could try bringing her here for a trial run. I have a separate room set up. My cats are 19 and 9. 19 yr old hates all other animals but sleeps on my bed all day anyway.
My 8 yr old wants a playmate but has never seen another cat and I don't know how she will react. What is best way to introduce new cat? Thanks for suggestions.
No Window screens in England
Asking for a friend considering moving from Nevada to England: she has 3 cats. How do folks in England open windows for fresh air and yet keep pets from jumping out and keep bugs from coming in without window screens?

It concerns iPod vs mp3.
I love my iPod nano, but it and iTunes will be unavailable in near future.
The mp3 player looks similar. Should I get one? Is it easier to load music on it? Is it going to be around longer than iPod? Or should I look into something else altogether? I use iPod while exercising and on long drives. Don't want to carry my phone around ( not an iphone btw).
I'm not much of a techy.
