dameatball's Journal"A Shot In The Dark" (1964). Peter Sellers, Herbert Lom and......sigh...Elke Sommer.....:)
This trip back to my adolescence has aged fairly well. Stumbled across it channel surfing tonight.
Hamberder question for Hoosiers....or....anyone else
Back in the 1970's I spent a few years in Bloomington, IN, At one point I was working west of town and there was this little hamburger joint I would stop at for lunch on the way to work second shift. They threw a round ball of ground beef on a large flat griddle and smashed it down while also cooking the onions. Eventually they would serve it all, however you wanted it in a paper bag if you wanted take out. Sometimes I just ate it there.
Does anyone know if this is what we now know as "Smashburger," cuz if so I want some
..
I have absolutely no idea what forum to put this in, Wouldn't be the first time. But those things were damn good.
For some reason I am rembering "W. Gordon Pike"....might be off.
Cynthia Alksne on Stephanie Miller show stated she believes that the reason Trump and Don Jr. were
not subpoenaed is that they had already taken the fifth amendment through their lawyers. Very interesting. It would be a logical explanation.
Was watching Cohen's lawyers and they were mostly stone faced until Repubs tried to say Cohen paid
the $130,000 to Stormy on his own. I guess it was Lanny Davis (not sure), finally broke out in a big smile. Not sure who else noticed that one.
These shrieking Republicans caused me to take my blood pressure pill a few hours early.
Half of them sound like they are going to go on a crying jag.
Meanwhile, the Dems seem measured and composed.
"It's A Mad, Mad, Mad Mad Wrld" 8 pm on TCM What a cast. The bit parts are at least as interesting.
Many that are listed as bit players had long careers. Saw this in our one screen theater as a kid. Best popcorn in town.
Did anyone hear anything about Rupert Murdoch visiting Mitch McConnell today?
I happened to have Thom Hartman on in the living room and thought I heard Thom say that Murdoch was seen heading into McConnell's office. I was in the middle of doing something and by the time I got back to the show they had moved on to other stuff. Might mean nothing, who knows?
With Shep Smith and Chris Wallace seemingly upsetting the Fox applecart lately, I wonder what is going on. By the way, thanks to all of you that post the Fox videos that are of interest to DU'ers, so we don't have to spend any time watching their crappy "news."
