PTWB's JournalRoberts, Kavanaugh join liberal justices to hand Biden Administration a big win on immigration!
In a 5 - 4 vote in BIDEN ET AL. v. TEXAS ET AL., with Roberts and Kavanaugh joining Breyer, Kagan, and Sotomayor, the SCOTUS gives the Biden Administration a big win.

This case stemmed from Bidens decision to end the Trump era program to send asylum seekers back to Mexico to await proceedings.
Hmmm
It seems to me that hold can be explained by the ignorance, racism, and hate in the hearts and minds of the MAGAs. They were just waiting on some strongman blow hard to stoke the flames that were smoldering inside them all along.
We should never let the MAGAs escape responsibility for what theyve done by suggesting they were somehow hypnotized by Trump. That lets them off the hook.
How many folks here are active hunters?
It's time to start pushing for a constitutional amendment...
that changes how Supreme Court justices are seated and how long they serve. Justices should be elected directly by the people in non-partisan contests and should serve one twenty year term, and not be eligible for subsequent terms.
Roe has been overturned.

This is a dark day for our country.
The SCOTUS ruling on concealed carry is not unexpected
It doesnt mean states must issue concealed carry licenses to anyone for any reason.
SCOTUS ruled that states are free to condition licenses based on objective requirements, whereas some states were previously using subjective requirements. The ruling holds that if an applicant meets all the objective requirements that have been set by the state, the state cannot deny them their license.
Nothing is stopping New York, California, and the half a dozen other states that are impacted by this ruling from making a long list of objective requirements in order to obtain a permit to carry.
I'm not sure that would survive a constitutional challenge in the courts
Id be fine with raising the age to purchase any semi-automatic weapon to 25, personally, though that also would be unlikely to survive a court challenge.
