StarfishSaver's JournalTrump's behavior has prompted the media to reiterate how effective and productive Bill Clinton was
even while he was under investigation and being impeached.
Nice job, Donald.
Did the Speaker of the House just call for Trump's family or staff to do an intervention?
Yes. Yes, she did.
I DARE you not to laugh out loud at this tweet
https://twitter.com/itsJeffTiedrich/status/1131564455798726656I AM COMPLETELY CALM shouts Trump, as he runs around the west wing with a soup pot on his head and falls down a flight of stairs with his pants around his ankles
Several pundits this AM said Trump's stunt "united" the Caucus behind Pelosi. Not.
The Caucus has ALWAYS been united behind the Speaker.
The press is claiming that Pelosi was in trouble with her caucus but Trump's foolishness yesterday shored up support for her within the caucus and helped her buy time.
But that's not what happened. The Caucus was already united behind and around Pelosi. Even those who think impeachment proceedings should start sooner than she does have always stood behind her and, whoever watched and listened to Members' comments made after yesterday's Caucus meeting and before the White House meeting could see that.
Not one member came out of that meeting with a word of criticism of pelosi or her tactics. Everyone interviewed was fully supportive of her.
For example, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez said the following on her way out of the meeting: "I trust the Speaker is taking a measured approach to ensure that we're moving everyone forward. I know being Speaker is hard. Holding this party together is a difficult task. But I think we know what we need to do. I personally believe we need to move forward."
Hardly a rebel yell ...
It's obvious that Pelosi had full support of her Caucus BEFORE she went to the White House yesterday.
It wasn't the Caucus but the media that was beating up on Pelosi. And after the White House meeting once again showed the Speaker in charge and on top of her game, the press had to back off of their breathless "Pelosi in trouble as Caucus rebels!" hyperbole. I guess the only way to do that was to claim the White House meeting somehow "rescued" Pelosi from a mutiny that never existed.

NY Times: Trump's Financial Secrets Move Closer to Disclosure
On Wednesday, those secrets moved two steps closer to becoming public.
A federal judge in Manhattan ruled against a request from President Trump to block his longtime lender, Deutsche Bank, from complying with congressional subpoenas seeking his detailed financial records. In Albany, New York lawmakers approved a bill that would allow Congress to obtain Mr. Trumps state tax returns.
Those actions came two days after a federal judge in Washington ruled against Mr. Trumps bid to quash another congressional subpoena to get his accounting firm to hand over his tax returns and other financial documents.
The court rulings and the New York legislation represent the most serious attempts to pierce the veil that surrounds Mr. Trumps finances. They increase the odds that congressional Democrats, who have become more vocal in their calls to undertake impeachment proceedings against the president, could enter such a fray with ample ammunition about Mr. Trumps business dealings.

Effieblack was right. So far, the courts ARE holding
In fact they're doing more than just holding. They're looking Trump in the eye and say "not on our watch."
"The Judiciary branch is strong and WE. WILL. HOLD"
A few weeks ago, a dear old friend, a Republican-appointed federal judge, trying to console me during a moment of despair about the future of our country, said to me The Judiciary branch is strong and will hold. When I expressed skepticism, he leaned toward me, looked me dead in the eye, and said as firmly as he could without shouting: We are strong and WE. WILL. HOLD.
Today, thanks to Judge Mehta, I think he may be right ...

For like the 8th time this week ... And it's only Wednesday.

A federal judge on Wednesday said Deutsche Bank and Capital One may hand over the presidents financial records to Democrats in the House.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.

"I pray for the president of the United States"
The Speaker is taking. shade to an entirely new level.
There's a reason Trump doesn't doesn't taunt or call her names but literally runs away whenever she comes in the room.
Him scared.
Anyone doubt Pelosi's cover up comments were timed to screw with Trump's head before their meeting?
And does anyone doubt that it worked?
We're watching a master of the game at the top of her game.
