Bernie has decided he doesn't need our votes in the general election

with this tweet:

I've got news for the Republican establishment. I've got news for the Democratic establishment. They can't stop us.

Ok, Bernie. Message received. Good luck.

On twitter, Bernie supporters put "red rose" emojis in their username

It is a symbol that supposedly means the user is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. Starting in 2015, Bernie supporters adopted it.

But with today’s news, every time I see one, I am going to wonder if the tweeter is being paid in rubles.

Reportedly, Vladimir Putin is the richest man in the world

His estimated net worth is $200 billion.

Three times as much as Bloomberg, to give you a perspective.

Bernie has been attacking Buttigieg for the past month for getting $2800 donations each from 40 billionaires.

And during that month, Bernie knew that his own campaign was getting help from the richest billionaire in the world, in the form of Putin’s massive troll/bot farms. It was an in-kind contribution worth way more than the donations Pete got from billionaires.

And Bernie said nothing.

Bernie is a shameless hypocrite.

The Mueller report says that Russia tried to help Bernie in 2016

Many brushed it off as them simply trying to hurt Hillary, and Bernie was the convenient tool.

But they're helping Bernie again - and I'm not saying Bernie wants or encourages that help at all, I don't believe he does - but you have to ask *WHY* does Russia want to help Bernie?

I think it is because Russia ultimately wants to help Trump. And Trump told Putin he wants Bernie as his opponent. Maybe Trump is wrong to want that, but it is clearly what he wants. All of Trump's behavior the past couple months has indicated he wants to run against Bernie.

The most disturbing part of this story, to me, is that Bernie was told by intelligence officials about this a month ago - and decided to keep it quiet. He should have made it public IMMEDIATELY.

Do we expect any post-debate polls to drop today?

I'm pretty eager to see what shifts occurred.

My prediction:

Warren +5
Biden +2
Buttigieg +1
Sanders 0
Klobuchar -2
Bloomberg -6

AP Dispatch from November 4th, 2020

From the potential universe in which Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee:

“Trump, GOP Win Resounding Mandate”

President Trump cruised to re-election last night, winning 350 electoral votes and 51% of the popular vote.

Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell gained 1 seat in his Senate majority as Doug Jones went down to defeat in Alabama to Jeff Sessions and five vulnerable GOP Senators held on to win. Susan Collins, Thom Tillis, Martha McSally, Corey Gardner, and Joni Ernst - all of whom seemed to be in trouble six months ago - managed to win by relentlessly tying their opponents to Bernie Sanders’ democratic socialist agenda.

But in the most crushing news for Democrats on the night, their 18-seat House majority was wiped out as the GOP won back 25 of the 41 House seats they lost in 2018. Speculation is that Kevin McCarthy will be the next House Speaker when the new Republican majority is sworn in on January 3rd. Nancy Pelosi has strongly hinted that she will retire.

For stunned Democrats, forced to come to grips with how they lost so badly in a political environment in which Trump’s popularity was so low, the news got potentially worse. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the 86 year old Supreme Court justice, has hinted at her retirement. Mitch McConnell has indicated that Trump’s next nomination to replace her will sail through the Senate before March.”

We can still avoid this future, Democrats.

On betting markets, every time Bernie goes up for nomination

Trump goes up for re-election.

I have been watching the betting markets. There is almost a 1-to-1 relationship between Bernie’s movements in price and Trump’s.

When Bernie’s odds for the nomination go up, Trump’s odds for re-election go up, when Bernie goes down, Trump goes down.

Betting markets are just capturing the “wisdom of crowds”. People make bets based on what they perceive, what they hear from pundits, friends, and family.

When people perceive that Bernie has momentum, they bet up his price. They also bet up Trump’s price for re-election at the same time.

When people are putting their money where their mouth is, they tend to be more objective. Especially the big money bettors.

The Wisdom of Crowds knows. A Bernie nomination is good for Trump.

A subtle dig from Warren about Sanders on Lawrence O'Donnell's show

Asked about the biggest difference between her and Bernie to voters in upcoming states:

"I don't want to be President just to yell at people, I want to be President to get stuff done."

I don't like the whole "we have to win by a lot" narrative

Yes, it would be *AWESOME* if we won in a landslide.

But our side needs to be ready to FIGHT LIKE HELL if we win 270-to-268 in the Electoral College. That means we WON!

Our lawyers have to be ready to defend a 270-268 win on the morning of November 4th.

Saying we need to "win in an overwhelming landslide" sets the narrative that, unless we get 350+ electoral votes, then Trump gets to somehow say he won.

Every Democratic lawyer in the country has to be ready to ... pro bono ... fight to the hilt to defend our victory *NO MATTER THE SIZE*.

In 2000, Bush "won" 271-267 after Florida was called. The GOP were never going to allow us to make the claim that we got to hold on to the Presidency because of "irregularities". Their lawyers played hardball.

Our candidates need to stop saying things like "In order to make sure Trump leaves, we need to win by a landslide". Both Pete and Liz have said this in recent weeks.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!

We don't have to "cover the spread", though it would be wonderful if we did. We just have to win.

Don't allow this dangerous narrative to gain traction.
