Trump says the polls are wrong because boaters and motorcyclists love him

President Donald Trump dismissed current national polls that show him trailing in double-digits to the presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden during an interview with America This Week host Eric Bolling.

<...>

Trump said “The fake polls, I call them fake polls, they’re suppression polls, they’re meant to dampen the enthusiasm of your voters, of your people because we have tremendous enthusiasm. You know we are up 30 points in enthusiasm—that’s a very important number—in enthusiasm over Biden.”

“Take a look at boating, there are thousands of boaters all over the country…Trump! Trump! We Love Trump,” he noted to illustrate the enthusiasm. “Motorcycles, you look at all of the motorcycles all over the highway… Bikers for Trump.”

Trump again claims coronavirus is 'going to just disappear' as US sees record number of new cases

Source: The Independent via MSN

Donald Trump has repeated a claim that the coronavirus is going to “just disappear”, a day after the United States announced a record number of new cases.

“I think we’re gonna be very good with the coronavirus. I think that at some point that’s going to, sort of, just disappear — I hope,” Mr Trump told Fox Business on Wednesday.

The comments come as more than 48,000 coronavirus cases were announced across the country on Tuesday, the highest daily number since the pandemic began. Eight states reported single-day highs: Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

It is not the first time Mr Trump has made the claim that the virus will vanish on its own — one that has been contradicted by his own expert advisors. Speaking in February, when just over a dozen cases had been confirmed on US soil, Mr Trump said: "One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear."

White woman calls police because her black neighbors were building a patio on their own property

A woman in Montclair, New Jersey was caught on video reporting a Black family to police after disputing their right to build a patio on their own property.

Video of the incident was shared on social media. In the video, the woman claims a resident of the home assaulted her when she encroached on the property.

One of the homeowners, Fareed Nassor Hayat, identified the woman as “Susan” and claimed she works for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In a social media post, Hayat accused Susan of filing a “false police report” after demanding to know if he had a permit to install a patio on his property.

“She invoked centuries of brutality in her call to the police and sought to put her black neighbors back in their place,” Hayat wrote. “But to her surprise, her efforts were met by two proudly black human beings, parents, lawyers, law professors, activist, community members, neighbors and fighters, who refused to submit.”

He pointed out that a “collection of largely white neighbors” pushed back against the woman’s assault claim.

Data on Financial Transfers Bolstered Suspicions That Russia Offered Bounties

Source: New York Times

American officials intercepted electronic data showing large financial transfers from a bank account controlled by Russia’s military intelligence agency to a Taliban-linked account, which was among the evidence that supported their conclusion that Russia covertly offered bounties for killing U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan, according to three officials familiar with the intelligence.

Though the United States has accused Russia of providing general support to the Taliban before, analysts concluded from other intelligence that the transfers were most likely part of a bounty program that detainees described during interrogations. Investigators also identified by name numerous Afghans in a network linked to the suspected Russian operation, the officials said — including, two of them added, a man believed to have served as an intermediary for distributing some of the funds and who is now thought to be in Russia.

The intercepts bolstered the findings gleaned from the interrogations, helping reduce an earlier disagreement among intelligence analysts and agencies over the reliability of the detainees. The disclosures further undercut White House officials’ claim that the intelligence was too uncertain to brief President Trump. In fact, the information was provided to him in his daily written brief in late February, two officials have said.

Afghan officials this week described a sequence of events that dovetails with the account of the intelligence. They said that several businessmen who transfer money through the informal “hawala” system were arrested in Afghanistan over the past six months and are suspected of being part of a ring of middlemen who operated between the Russian intelligence agency, known as the G.R.U., and Taliban-linked militants. The businessmen were arrested in what the officials described as sweeping raids in the north of Afghanistan, as well as in Kabul.

White woman shouts racial slurs and threatens to call police as family moves into new home

A white woman was caught on video using racial slurs to attack a family as they were moving into their new home. A video of the incident, which was said to have occurred in Michigan, was shared on Twitter over the weekend.

In the video, the white woman accuses her new neighbors of breaking the law by moving into their home after dark. “You’ve been screaming since what time?” the woman complains. “You just moved in.”

<...>

“You all are n****rs makings a scene!” the white woman exclaims.

<...>

“N****rs waking me up at 3:30!” the white woman says. “I’ve got a phone too. I’m using it to call the cops.”

The woman was identified on social media as Jessica Evans.

Florida Man Goes on Unhinged Rant Against Masks: 'I Will Not be Muzzled Like a Mad Dog!'

A Florida man has gone viral — much like his home state — by launching into a rant during a county commission meeting about mandating masks to fight the coronavirus, during which he exclaimed “I will not be muzzled like a mad dog!”

Earlier this week, CNN aired video of local Palm Beach residents flipping out over a mask mandate — calling them “the devil’s laws” — so at least one resident of St. Lucie County promptly had those people hold his beer.
