Mar-A-Lago President's Day Sale...

From BoingBoing.net

That is all...

Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole

Some days one just needs more "Iz" in one's life...

Wishing y'all rainbows...

That is all...

Andrea Mitchell...

is well past her sell-by date...

She needs to go...

That is all...

For the folks in Bend, Oregon... Aquas de Marco -- Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto & Mucha

A stick, a stone
It's the end of the road
It's the rest of a stump
It's a little alone

...

The foot, the ground
The flesh and the bone
The beat of the road
A slingshot's stone

...

A truckload of bricks
In the soft morning light
The shot of a gun
In the dead of the night

...

My daughter competed in the Endeavor Team Challenge race over the weekend
in Bend, and we had a stellar visit.

This was unfortunately clouded by an active shooter event which we observed
from the fringes when trying to return to her hotel.

Aguas De Maro (Waters Of March) -- Stan Getz with Joo Gilberto and Micha,
Gilberto's wife... captures the rhythms of the endurance race. The lyrics encapsule
the world around... Mention of gunshots in the lyrics rendered my heart and could
not be more poignent...

There is healing in music... where there is water, there is life... Let the music and lyrics
pour out its healing power... My tears will supply the water...

Here is one translation of the English lyrics:

That is all...

Ben Folds Five - She Don't Use Jelly...

Sometimes you just gotta dance...

Live a little, y'all...

That is all...

Time for a sing-song... Flanders & Swann -- The Hippopotamus Song...

An unusual feature of their act was that both men remained seated for their shows:
Swann behind his piano and Flanders in a wheelchair, having contracted poliomyelitis
in 1943.

Enjoy!!!

The Turtles... You Know What I Mean - Summer '67

Today has been one of those kind of days,
and this song brings back some warm memories...

Not the best recording, but it sings "summer" to me...

Join me while I sing along...

That is all...

I have a star!!!

So chuffed...

Thank you, thank you...

DU -- yer the best...

That is all...

Celebrating 50 years of "The Godfather"...
