In the US, convicting someone of "Treason" is one of the most difficult cases to try because our definition of "Treason" is just too narrow.
Police: 2 Students Killed, Man Seriously Injured in Des Moines Shooting

Two teenage students were killed Monday and a man was seriously injured in what police said was a targeted shooting at an alternative educational program that was designed to keep at-risk youth away from trouble. The injured man was identified as the program’s founder—a rapper who left a life of violence and was dedicated to helping youth in Des Moines.

Military probing whether cancers linked to nuclear silo work
Nine military officers who had worked decades ago at a nuclear missile base in Montana (Malmstrom AFB) have been diagnosed with blood cancer and there are “indications” the disease may be linked to their service, according to military briefing slides obtained by The Associated Press.
