It would only take one Florida Man juror to reject the indictments enabling the reactionary MAGAt Rightwing to celebrate that as an "innocent verdict," proof that their cult leader had been the victim of the D's "witch hunt". Alternatively, if trump were found guilty in the next few months, this issue would disappear and R primary contenders would be able to campaign and choose a candidate who might be, unlike trump, a challenging competitor for President Joe.
Cannon's previous decisions, emphatically reversed by a three judge panel, demonstrated that she was incompetent and biased favoring trump. With that history, even that pathological liar trump wont be able to claim that Cannon is biased against him. If she twists decisions to favor trump, Jack Smith can appeal and with that evidence, file a writ of mandamus to have her removed from the trial. This would be an embarrassment for the R's, not the DOJ.
The longer that trump is strung out in trial while campaigning, the more funds he will absorb that might have gone to more conventional primary candidates, the more air on the political right media he will control, the more fractured the R's are likely to become, the more the public will see the GOP as the party of criminals, traitors and corruption. So, relax, sit back and have a nice relaxing cup of tea and try to enjoy the show. And remember, patience in politics is often a virtue."

I'll add to that:
- conviction in this case does not legally sink his candidacy in any way
- absolutely nothing will shake his zombie supporters
- the details that are going to come out in this case will serve as context to the other cases that stand a good chance of being resolved before the election

I, like all of you, still feel the gut-punch of the supposedly "random" assignment to his corrupt judge/thrall. It's like beating one cancer, only to find out you have another. We just can't catch a break! So let this one go. It's going to be fun to watch Jack Smith humiliate Aileen Cannon with her own shamelessness - a bit like when your much stronger big brother grabs your hands, hits you in the head with them, and ask you "why are you hitting yourself?"

Don't they understand what they are doing? They act like these are mere political "controversies". Nuclear secrets! There is nothing about this that falls short of terror, for any thinking person.
The only "controversy" is that he has the utter contempt for all of us, to stay in the race. This is "political"? He can end that any time - by dropping out.

Right? They had to assume all the classified info was sold. Then, pull out the spooks, change the war plans, etc.
This all takes time. If that work has been completed, then it's easier to allow a jury to look at the actual docs.
And I think it's gonna scare the shit out of them.
