Fox is Propaganda Central so regardless of where the meme started, Fox can always be relied on for repeats and amplification. However, it was reported that Rich Lowry at the National Review was running with the analogy. Why he or the rest thought this comparison was anything but laughable is stunning. But then if you're hawking to voters who wouldn't realize how preposterous the analogy is? Well then anything can fly.

For the pols and pundits pushing the idea? Absolutely shameless.
