In reply to the discussion: Nancy Pelosi's red coat is so popular that Max Mara is bringing it back [View all]Jim Lane
(11,175 posts)22. If only what you write were true.
You write:
I believe I should be paying higher taxes to support universal healthcare and other programs to support all Americans. As does Nancy ....
If that's her position, it's quite new. In the current Congress she has not been an advocate for HR 676. In fact, although a majority of the members of the Democratic caucus signed on as cosponsors, Pelosi did not.
Still, I don't completely disagree with you. You write:
What we need to do is convince Americans the key to achieving these aspirational goals is ditching the fucked up trickle down ideology.
Exactly right! One place to start would be the $15 minimum wage, which just so happens to be a key plank in Bernie's platform. Your distortion of his platform is taken straight from the right-wing smear machine.

Tsk. I have always shopped sales, bought only "classic" styles, and looked damn good at work...

"Anyway, it is a beautiful coat on a strong leader." I agree. So is Nancy's. (n/t)
