General Discussion
In reply to the discussion: I am in shock! A rabid tRump supporter friend on Facebook just posted: [View all]I remember back when I was naive in the earlier days of DU back in 2004 - I had co-workers announcing they hated Bush and were voting Kerry throughout the summer of 2004. A bunch of people on DU had similar experiences. I thought Kerry would win - and I'm normally a big pessimist: anything that can go wrong, will.
Then, Bush still ended up winning (ok, Ohio was probably stolen, but it was still close enough to steal...)
However, these co-workers later admitted to still voting for Bush because Fox News and the RW media had gotten them so scared of Kerry that last month or two before that election that they felt like they had to vote Bush. I suspect it was similar with many other people here on DU - people swearing they would not vote Bush 4-6 months before the election, but then reluctantly voting Bush in the end.
I think it will be the same with Trump.
