Let's show political courage and do the right thing to attempt to do what the framers of our Constitution provided us in this extraordinary moment.
You fear that it could be a "Pyrrhic victory". I fear not speaking truth to power, a backlash from those voters that feel like we just rolled over to trump and the repubs and vote for an Independent candidate or not vote at all. Can we Dems not do this and still campaign on Healthcare (no more kids in cages, no more walls, no more bullying, no more cozying up to dictators, etc.)??
If we lose 2020 because of the Impeachment process, at least we went down fighting for our democracy, its institutions and the rule of law.
