When I was first diagnosed with shingles, I was terrified. This was, in part, due to my aunt's experience with shingles which left her totally debilitated for weeks on end. I was lucky, though, because my doctor says we caught it early. The prescription he wrote did the job after a week or so and I'm pretty much over it.

Now if only I can only find a pharmacist with the Shingrix vaccine. Sigh.

I agree, though. Pretty scary at first.
