Every single Democratic Senator, either in public or private told him to resign except for these 5
Joe Manchin (ONLY one who said he should NOT)
Bob Menendez (was under Federal corruption indictment at the time, refused to comment)
and the 3 members of the Ethic Committee (who by law, could not comment)
Chris Coons, Delaware, Vice Chairman
Brian Schatz, Hawaii
Jeanne Shaheen, New Hampshire
I am sure 4 of those, all but Manchin, if they had no legal reason to not comment, would have told him to resign as well.
