(14,614 posts)in the gloom of my worry of being exposed. So, I'm getting my son to do the running and then I take charge of wiping down what he brings home. I've told him: if you bring that shit in this house, I'm probably a dead man. That got his attention.
Anyhow.....
* I believe the stores should settle down soon after people get stocked up and the supply chains adjust. Remember, the average product demand has not changed except perhaps for cleaning products. This is mainly hoarding.
* I'm hoping crucial services will start making provisions for isolating the sick from those that appear to be well. Perhaps doctor's offices for example, could install some temporary barriers or just sectionalize their office spaces.
* My son and I do our shopping very late at night (1 to 3am) and it's much better. Also, there's plenty of store employees around to help find stuff because they stock the store that time of night.
* Someone mentioned going temporarily to a high-end grocery just for basics because those are typically not so crowded and are kept well stocked. Might be worth the few extra bucks just for the reduced exposure.
Hang in there and be safe - we'll make it.......
