Showing Original Post only (View all)I got an invite to a relative's Christmas dinner - 12 other people were invited. [View all]
Of the 12 people, only half are family members. The others, are her friends that I don't know well, or have never met. With her and her husband included, 15 people would be gathered.
I expressed my concern about gathering in doors with that many people.
She doesn't see it as a big deal. Even said, her friends have all been tested before and are negative. I said, well that's like taking a pregnancy test last month and saying you can't be pregnant at any other time.
She also invited my parents. Both of whom have pre-existing conditions. I have told them I do not think this is a good idea, even if they were to wear masks indoors. Why risk it?
After going back and forth with her all week, she said my parents and I could come earlier and leave before the other guests. Sigh, my own family member is a dumbass!
