11. And the House went to court to enforce subpoenas, with mixed success

People still think that the House had authority to throw people in jail under inherent contempt, and no amount of explaining about why that's not the case will shake them from their misconception.

And now, many of these same people are scrambling aboard the "refuse to seat them!" bandwagon - a course of action just as unavailable as inherent contempt.
