The framers of our Constitution created a Republic, which is a Representative Democracy where
elected officials create laws. See *...

We're a long way from a perfect system but when it works right it's pretty good, I think. Now it looks
like we'll have a chance to keep working at it. We fought a violent and bloody revolution
from 1775 to 1783 to establish this nation under this political system and I refuse to let a bunch
of international or home-grown criminals change that. Are we ready for that fight? I'm not sure
but I still have hope.

Yes, it appears that our Republic has survived, at least for now. Again, it's sure to take more
than words to keep it and make it evolve into something better than it has been. If we have the
will to make that our reality then we'll succeed. It's up to us to and all peoples throughout the world
to put up or shut up and create the best world we can have.
