6. Political Parties Require Big Bucks to Survive

This need for money explains why there has never been a viable 3rd party in the US. The GOP and Dem parties will always control the financial infrastructure needed to amass the billions needed to operate. Corporate donors are not going to fund some 3rd party that operates outside the traditional political 2 party system. Instead I expect there to be a clearer split within the GOP with a batsh*t crazy wing and a batsh*t crazier wing. The crazier wing will rule the day during the primary process where only the most extreme candidates can amass a majority vote. This also explains why the Socialist wing of the Dem party have never built up a viable party. It's also why Bernie always has to use the Dem party for his POTUS runs. Personally I don't think Independents should be allowed to run as Democrats.
