Trump comes in, splits the Republican Party, and either they deny him the nomination and he goes third-party and splits the vote, or else he wins the nomination and mainstream Republicans stay home in droves on Election Day; either way, a Clinton win is assured.

Turns out things often don't work the way you expect them to...
