It looks to me like she's taken the wrong lessons to heart. It also strikes me as someone who is extreme in everything they do, and who will zig if you tell her she should zag because she doesn't like conformity or being told what to do.
I think getting her to play ball is going to require someone to figure out how to make her feel like it was her idea to do so...we might need the Inception team to get back together for one more mission.
