For just one example, as I pointed out, I thought the Vietnam War was immoral and, indeed, I obtained by CO status in the draft on that basis. But who would you suggest as the arbiter of these questions in our system? Should the courts have been asked to decide if the war was wrong? How well do you think that would have turned out? Should the courts be deciding what economic policies are right and which are wrong? Do you think that would turn out well?

In our system of government, these questions are decided through the political process. Not by charging those with whom we disagree "traitors".
