... on TV the other day. Lots of data now shows that transmissibility starts about 2 days before symptoms and lasts through 2 days after symptoms. No one was transmissible more than 5 days after onset of symptoms. Change is based on the accumulation of data.

It's the 2 days before symptoms that are the trickiest.
