Murkowski is up for re-election and well maybe lose her seat as it sits. While Alaska isn't by majority anti-abortion it is by majority conservatives. They won't like the repeal of the filibuster and it would be weaponized against her. Successfully I expect.

Collins is going to do what she always does. Wring her hands, bemoan being duped and draw a line at repealing the filibuster. Oh, and point fingers at Justice I-Like-Beer for deceiving her. That's her out right there politically. I'm doubtful he even ever said that to her and it's not just something ginned up by McConnell which the other two went along with after the fact. Side note: she's not up for re-election until 2026. I'm skeptical she's even going to run again then. She's looking at her down the road strategy now and I'm betting that involves RW gigs she's been assured.

Then there's Sinema, Arizona isn't anti-abortion by majority, but there's a good chance she could wiggle out of supporting a repeal if the filibuster there handily. Toss out some blather about how this needs to be dealt with elsewhere and/or by other means and I think she'd be fine.

All while Manchin is heralded as a hero for his stance in his state.

Murkowski, maybe. Collins, no way. NT MANative May 2022 #1
