My grandmother's town in NC had a "sister town" in the Caucasus Mountains and since the terrible Ukraine exodus began I've been thinking that they'd be the perfect town to sponsor a family or families. Lots of communities would. I know that Ukrainians hope to return home at some point, but from what we hear, there will be little for them to go back to - and this siege is far from over.
